Voyager Motor Inn, Van Nuys

This place is a dump. The maids steal, the desk clerks are rude, the manager is a terrible person. They find any little reason to kick you out so they can keep your money and your belongings. They only want prostitutes and drug dealers. They get paid by the County to house homeless families and he mentally ill. They take advantage of these people and have no compassion for their situations.

The room I got smelled like cigarette smoke even though it was a non smoking room. The people at the front desk were very unhelpful-short-and over all rude. No problem with the other guests or other staff there. Are is not the greatest - but it is worth the money I paid. Would not recommend to anyone. It is set up like a giant maze, but once you find a route in or out you should be okay. This place needs to accept pets but not kids - there were 1000's of them there, running in the narrow hallways etc. They do have coffee for guests in the morning though and a security gate for you to park your car.

Nice guy at desk is a student at my school. Very cheap rate. No one bothered me, and i felt safe. Bed and nearly everything else was clean. Some graffitti. Smells like Pine-Sol. Rug may have needed cleaning. It's run down, and definitely not the ritz, but at least you're pretty safe there! Neighborhood is not the worst, but travel a mile or 2 north and it IS the worst! Lots of drugs and prostitution in the area, but motel seems to do pretty well at keeping those people out.
