$1600 SHEEP
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/28/08
I stayed at the Inn with a group of 40 friends. We have been visiting Napa for about 12 years. I was absolutely stunned at the experience I had. I arrived Saturday after a flight from the east coast. After checking in (room 101), I decided to take a nap before dinner. I immediately realized the noise from the traffic was too loud to sleep. When I called the front desk the hotel rep. said it is just busy today because it's Saturday and it is crush time in Napa so it's more noisy than usual; but, she said it would quiet down in the evening. In fact, it was quiet from 12:00 to 3:00 a.m. Then one truck after another constantly rolled by my window all morning. The noise was unbelievable. I told them I was exhausted and really needed to sleep. Unfortunately they were booked that day. So I went another night without sleep. I was absolutely exhausted. I went to the front desk to ask if I could use the EMPTY computer at the conceirge's desk (since they told me I could the day before and logged me on) only to have a "guest service manager" tell me they shouldn't have let me use it and I would need to walk to Villagio to use the business center. I walked there and found one computer in use by another guest. All in all it took 40 minutes to print one page that I could have printed in 1 minute. The room rate was $375.00 a night....I think they can afford a computer on site at the Vintage. I expressed my discontent with the room again and my inability to sleep to another guest service manager who said the room is usually quieter than any room on the property I invited him to come stand in the room to listen to the traffic (which he did) and was finally offered a quieter room on the interior of the hotel. Room 101 is a "Villa" and much nicer than the smaller interior rooms.....but you will never be able to sleep! It is literally 10 feet from main street! I was literally going to move to the econolodge in downtown Napa because I couldn't go another day without sleep. DON'T STAY HERE. IT ISN'T WORTH THE MONEY. I PAID $350 - $400 PER NIGHT TO COUNT SHEEP.

OUR TOP PICK
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/18/06
WE LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THE VINTAGE INN. STARTING WITH THE WONDERFUL LOCATION. FOR US, IT WAS A GREAT PIVOT POINT FOR ENJOYING ALL OF NAPA. STARTING WITH YOUR FIRST IMPRESSION - WHEN YOU CALL TO MAKE A RESERVATION YOU KNOW THAT THE VINTAGE INN IS FIRST CLASS. THE PEOPLE WORKING THERE ARE THERE MAKE SURE YOUR TAKEN CARE OF. THEY WILL HELP YOU MAKE YOUR DINNER RESERVATIONS OR ANY OTHER PLANS YOU MAY NEED HELP WITH. THE ROOMS ARE BEAUTIFUL, CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE. THEY SERVE A DELIGHTFUL BREAKFAST EACH MORNING. THE BREAKFAST IS SERVED EARLY ENOUGH TO ALLOW YOU AN EARLY START FOR WHATEVER YOUR PLANS ARE. WE HAVE STAYED AT SEVERAL PLACES IN NAPA BUT THIS IS THE BEST.

Romantic Get-a-way
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/22/05
The rooms are incredible...vaulted ceilings on second floor, fire place, huge bathroom tub that easily fits two adults, complementary bottle of wine at check-in, complementary bottle of champange when they turn down your bed at night. Great breakfast buffet and excellent proximity to all Napa valley wineries. For a little extra money (basically $70 more per night/compared to all other hotels in Napa) this facility is truly worth it!

Everything it's adverized to be
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/15/04
I just returned from a 2 night stay at the Inn and truly enjoyed the experience.

Location: It's virtually impossible to find a bad location in Yountville, since you can walk from one end to the other. And, since Yountville is the heart of the Napa Valley, you're in the right spot. The Inn is located along the main drag with easy access to restaurants and shopping. The grounds are well maintained and lushly landscaped. The multi-room buildings give the Inn a village feel and make it possible to provide patios and balconies with every room.

Room: The room was beautiful and elegantly decorated with a working fireplace and an extravagant bathroom. It was large with many windows on 3 exposures. The funishings were antique style and in excellent condition. More like a very nice apartment than a hotel room.

Service: The service was excellent with requests fulfilled in minutes.

Overall Value: A bit pricey, but everything is in Yountville.

I will return to Yountville and would be happy to stay at the Vintage Inn again.
