Sleep in the car- or keep driving
We asked for a room that allowed our dog. The guy said they had none left, so take this room around the back, leave your key in the room, and sneak out instead of checking out in at the front office, otherwise we'd be charged out the butt for the dog. We were too tired to argue, so we took it.
The room was hot, the window wouldn't open, the A/C wouldn't turn on because, as the sign says once you're in your room, the front desk controls the air. The room was dirty, the TV didn't work, the remote had no batteries, only two of the 7 lamps in the room had bulbs and only one of them worked. No fridge, no ice bucket, no coffee/tea, no soap or shampoo. The place was a dirty dive.
Don't stay here, just keep driving. Of the entire 3000 mile trip, this was the worst place we stayed- by a wide mile.
