Clarion Hotel San Francisco, Millbrae

This place should be shut down by the health department. It would be best to go to a homeless center, atleast you would not have to pay.

Our room was extremely dirty. Stains, big ones, all over the floor, couch, and some on the comforter. There was hair on the comforter as well. The bathroom was not clean and the furniture is terribly old and very uncomfortable so I could not get any work done. The Lobby is nice, but it seemed very desolate. Too many wide open areas with no decor that looked like dead space. In case the staff reads this, we were in room 3017 (you may want to steam clean in there a bit). It was an okay value, but I have stayed in better for a bit less.

We had strange experiences at night time. I felt the presence of someone in the hallway when there was no one, my boyfriend saw a ghost sitting on the bed in the middle of the night, the toilet made weird noise, and the fire alarm was going off all night. I did not like the front desk clerk because he would not give me direction to the china town. The hotel is conveniently close to the airport. I would still go back after all of this.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception held at the Clarion Aug.05,2006.We were very happy with all the staff and our guests were pleased also.We decided we were going to celebrate our first wedding anniversary here at the Clarion Hotel,hopefully we can get the same suite we had for our wedding night. My family rented 2 rooms on July 22, 2006 so that we could catch our early flight to Vancouver. I should have booked rooms in Vancouver and then explored that city, but that is in hindsight. SFO was experiencing a heat wave and the air conditioner worked very poorly. I opened the window for 10 minutes and the odors of jet exhaust filled our room. Then, the fire alarm went off. I woke up the kids and we ran quickly downstairs from the 6th floor. We were met at the landing by a guy in a tee shirt that appeared to run the place who announced "Go back, it's nothing. Someone planted a stink bomb." Bored employees with cigarettes in their mouths appeared amused by our use of caution in exiting the building during the very loud fire alarm. In the morning, my husband and I discovered that we had been bitten by bed bugs, and one son reported seeing one on his leg. The shuttle to the airport was fine, as was the extended parking at the Clarion.
