Worst experience ever, don't book online!
By Karin, 6/24/11
I tried to reverse a reservation because I found out later I was eligible for a different rate. I called reservations, got transferred about 3 times and the last person said she cancelled my first reservation and made a new one at the lower rate. Much to my surprise I received 2 reservation confirmations by email which made me suspicious about what she had done. I called again, was transferred and transferred, finally spoke with the local manager at the Sheraton in Sunnyvale. He said he would credit me back the increase in rate. But guess what, when I checked my credit card statement there was no credit from the Sheraton. Called the Sheraton again, 6 transfers and an hour later I found out that I now had 3 reservations and probably will be charged for all 3. Thank you Sheraton, but never again.

A Beautiful Surprise
By Kenz, 9/17/08
I stayed at the Sherton Sunnyvale in 2007. It was very modern inside and the gardens was wonder. It had a streem and detailed gazebo. The restarant was a little pricey ,but worth it. The swimming pool was plain but the patio furniture was brand-new. The rooms were remodled and had highend features. Pillow-top matresses put you easily to sleep and you wake up well rested. My overal experiance was wanting me to go back very soon.

Home away from home
By DanielW, 5/20/08
I travel to Sunnyvale several weeks a year and this is by far the best hotel in the area. It is not your tyical boxy high rise hotel. It has beautifuly landscaped grounds and large spacious rooms. By far one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed at. The best part is the staff. They know me by name (even the General Manager) and treat me like I am part of their family.

nice weekend stay
By Heny, 5/15/06
courteous front desk, got 2 connecting rooms as requested. Nice, clean and comfortable room. Would have been better if the hotel could provide a local map with highlighted local interest.

Excellent Staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/18/05
I thought the gardens were really nice and gave the hotel a quiet, peaceful feel. All the staff was friendly and greeted us each time we walked by. The rooms were very clean and the bed was wonderful. The staff told us the mattress was brand new. It makes me want to go out and buy a new bed for home.

Relaxation her I come?
By Mi, 5/25/05
there was nothing i did not like about this hotel. The beds are super comfortable and the service was impeccable. The hotel was clean and sanitary there were always fresh linen and toiletries. I have never stayed at such a customer friendly chain. I would stay at the sheraton over and over again.

Not Bad
By Matt, 11/15/04
Nice hotel, nothing too fancy. The location is quiet as its located on the corporate side of Sunnyvale. There aren't restaurants or activities close by, however its located convenient to the 101 which will quickly get you to either San Jose or San Francisco.

Overpriced and disappointing, but the restaurant is good
By Virginia, 11/15/04
How typical of Silicon Valley, a former cheap "courtyard" motel tarted up into a "Sheraton"--the same dismal, small, moldy rooms you remember from childhood vacations in the family station wagon except with nicer bedspreads. Rooms are inconvenient to the front desk. Prices are about double what the quality of the accomodations would lead you to expect. The only redeeming qualities are a convenient location near the freeways and major Sunnyvale employers and a surprisingly good (if somewhat pretentious) restaurant that seems like it should be attached to a completely different establishment.

This sheraton is just not up to standard
By snufericious, 11/15/04
Sheraton has made a name for themselves so I expect the sheraton quality. This one is not even a 4points Sheraton (lower end Sheraton). It looks like quality inn or something. I also think the rates are way overpriced.

Rooms are really large but old. The hallways were kinda dingy too. The bad thing was that you needed your key card to get around the hall ways since the rooms are located in different buildings. That gets kina annoying.

I got a room facing the pool which was nice except the pool was not well-maintained so there were leafs floating around in the pool. I sat by the pool trying to work my tan. An hour later another guest informed me that someone else has been taking pictures of (in my bikini). I was outraged and informed the staff who promptly tried to catch the culprit. They did in the end apprehend him and forced him to delete the pictures. They did ask me if I wanted to press charges and I decided against it. I was very much traumatized from my stay and they did move me to another Sheraton in milpitas which was much better. The manager at the hotel was definitely a cut above the rest and that I must commend her for.

Convenience is the Key
By Don Geiss, 11/15/04
if you're doing business in sunnyvale, this is a great place to stay. otherwise... you could do better. rooms are good size if lacking in decor, and the room service menu is so-so.
