We have stayed here as a Marriott Rewards member. When we tried to make another reservation, we were told that the hotel has been sold.

Disappointing
By Wendy, 7/8/10
I came here hoping for a nice place to stay in to explore Los Angeles. What disappointed me when I first arrived was the $30 parking fee per day. Also, the valets didn't even smile. Also, they charge you for internet. When I went in the hotel, it looked nice but the lobby was sprayed with so much perfume. The perfume didn't even smell nice either. The perfume smelled bad that I almost threw up. The people at the counter greeted the customers like they were freaking robots. I went to enter my room and it took a couple of tries to swipe the key until you can go in. That disappointed me a lot because it took a while to get into a room. When I looked in the bathroom, I expected maybe a toothbrush or toothpaste but they didn't even have it. All they had was a tiny bottle of shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. Also, their towels stink. When I sleep at a hotel, I expected a peaceful sleep. But no. You could hear people outside talking while you sleep at 1 in the morning. and I couldn't have a good night sleep. I wanted to go the gym to exercise, but I was disappointed at how small it was. There was probably less than fifteen machines in the small fitness room. Also, they charge you 30 dollars for breakfast. Even a hotel with less stars than this one will have complimentary breakfast. How disappointing. To sum it up, this hotel is probably the worst hotel I have ever been to. Disappointing things: -30 dollar fee parking per day -No free internet -no free breakfast -no toothpaste or toothbrush -small fitness center -okay service -stinky lobby -Not so pretty view

BEWARE OF THIS HOTEL'S BUSINESS PRACTICES
By Michael, 8/14/09
This hotel lured my mother in law, a senior citizen, no less, with an offer of a 48" plasma LG TV if she had her event there and charged her guests $10 more for room nights. After the event, and prepaying for the room nights and even after paying the final bill, the hotel emailed her that they were putting in the paperwork for her to get her TV. In the interim, they tried charging her credit card over $100,000. When she found out about the fraudulent activity and after not receiving her promised TV, she emailed the hotel. They ignored her for weeks until finally they emailed that she would get her TVs (they ignored the part about trying to charge her card for $100,000). It has been a year since that email. NO TV. No correspondence. My mother in law just filed a complaint with the Attorney General.

Good Hotel
By JAG, 7/1/09
Location is good...close to Dodger stadium and our appt at USC Medical Center. Relatively close (LA standards) to many shopping areas like The Grove, Santa Monica Promenade and Chinatown. Hotel service was good no complaints, easy check-in/check-out, maid service excellent, room was decent sized and clean, bed/bedding soft and comfortable, great view of city at night from room, valet parking good no new dings or scratches, I did not try out the restaurants or bar due to the fact that there were so many great restaurants within walking distance. Overall experience was 7 out of 10. I would go back again on my next trip to see the Dodgers. Paid $55 a night for a room with King size bed and a great view. I would recommend to others based on price, location and cleanliness.

HORRIBLE STAY!!! READ MY REVIEW!
By Mr. Bob Dobalina, 4/2/09
I had a presentation to do for my business to. If all went as planned it would have been very lucrative for my business. I was the only one this presentation featured. In other words if I was late it would have made me and my professionalism look VERY BAD because no one would be there to cover me. I made sure I was going to arrive 1hr early to my event in order to set up and make sure everything was going to work as planned. Nobody informed me about a convention on Saturday morning, the morning of my presentation, where the valet would take 45min-1hr to get my truck out of the valet. I told the Valet staff and manager my predicament after about 10minutes of waiting, after 20minutes I realized I was being ignored, and reprioritized. After 1/2 hour I started DEMANDING someone bring my vehicle! I was told it was on its way. I let everyone on the staff there know my situation and NOBODY could get me my vehicle. I even saw them bring people their car that had arrived 20minutes after me. I was now beginning to wonder if my truck had been stolen and this was their way of stalling so I DEMANDED to be taken to my vehicle. As I was getting ready to step in to a ride to the structure my vehicle was at it came around the corner. This was about 50-55 minutes from my original time I gave them my ticket to pick up my vehicle. Needless to say I was late to my presentation, my business suffered because of the irresponsibility of your staff, and made me look completely unprofessional to prominent, professional, future clients. THANKS! This was the absolute worst experience I have EVER had at a hotel! I had many other options of places to stay that night. I chose to use your chain because the price and location were right. I would have paid in the thousands of dollars for a room at another hotel in order to make it to my presentation on time because the $ amount of business lost could be around $10,000 or more. I delt with everyone involved in this situation including Mr. Marriotts personal assistant. They ALL told me my situation was of no importance to them and they ALL said they would do nothing in the way of compensation! DO NOT STAY HERE OR ATG ANY OTHER MARIOTT HOTEL!!! THEY ABSOULTLLY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS!!!

I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/3/08
I BOOKED A ROOM WITH YOUR HOTEL IN AUGUST 18,08 FOR A NEICE'S WEDDING WHICH THE WEDDING IS AT THE HOTEL & THE RECEPTION. I REQUESTED 2 BEDS B/C I HAVE 2 CHILDREN & MY HUSBAND & MYSELF. EVERYTIME I CALLED TO CONFIRM I HAVE 2 BEDS, NO ONE CAN CONFIRM THAT I HAVE 2 BEDS. THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND I WILL NEVER STAY AT ANY MARRIOTT HOTEL AGAIN AND I WILL TELL ALL MY FREINDS AND FAMILY ALSO.

HUGE fees
By Shannon, 5/2/08
Both me and my husband recently stayed here and was not informed that smoking outside on a balcony constitutes as smoking inside a room. We were charged $285 (more than the cost of our 2-night stay) for him smoking on the outdoor balcony. This fee was never disclosed and the website even states the fee is to return rooms back to their non-smoking condition. He never smoked in teh room!! I should know becuase I can't stnad the smell of smoke and he would not smoke anywhere around me. This is rediculous and smokers should be warned. All Marriott hotels are nonsmoking and even if you choose to smoke outside, be prepaed for a hefty fine!! And to make matters worse, God forbid you rent a car or drive there because it's going to cost you $19 a day to park at the hotel even if you're an overnight guest!! Aren't we paying enough already to stay there? You think they'd at least afford us to convience of parking at the hotel for free.

good, back, ugly, beautiful
By Rich, 4/15/08
disliked the loony atmosphere in the lobby and in gift shop. taxi (both regular and private) to LAX is reliable, but fairly expensive. the private limousine/cabs are driven by young, inexperienced drivers and cost is fairly high! I liked the location (west side of downtown), the size and condition of rooms and the food from room service.
