Excellent Hotel Experience! 5 Star :-)
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/24/05
My wife and I stayed great four days at the Pan Pacific San Francisco Hotel. The hotel's staff were very friendly and professional. Several members of the staff greeted me daily by my name, my wife was very impressed by them remembering my name. My hotel room was large, luxurious and very stylisly decorated. It is located two blocks from Union Square. It is one block from the Powell Street Cable Cars and close to the downtown shopping district. The Pan Pacific even has complimentary limo service within the downtown area.

Great Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/22/05
The hotel has glass elevators which give a grand view of the lobby as you travel to your room. It seemed like the housekeepers were watching your room because it was cleaned as soon as you left. We returned from a quick breakfast to have the room spotless. The concierge was very helpful in helping us obtain tickets to Alcatraz. He also gave us directions on taking the BART to UC Berkeley. He printed out train schedules and even gave us a tip on which station would be best to catch the train. They will also call a cab for you and have it waiting downstairs at a preassigned time. The cab's meter doesn't start running until you are onboard. Again they were very knowledgeable about giving us information on Chinatown and location of stores. They give out a map which shows the location of all the major department stores near Union Square for shoppers. Only down side is they are doing construction next door and if you are on that side of the building you hear workers at 7:30 AM on weekdays. They have a flatscreen TV in the main area and a smaller TV in the bathroom. You can soak in the tub and watch TV. The marble bathroom and separate shower are impressive. The beds were very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/10/05
We really enjoyed the marble bathrooms and all the amenities that came with the room including the television in the bathroom. We had room service for breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The service was outstanding and we would definitely stay there again. This wss definitely the nicest hotel we have stayed at in San Fransisco.

My new SF favorite
By simple, 6/8/05
This place blew me away. It was absolutely beautiful. Centrally located to everything, including my place of business. Would stay here again and again and again and again. Oh yeah, I got hooked up with this hotel via hotwire.com so I got the room for under $150 a nite which is beyond good for this place.

Bay to Breakers
By Sparky, 5/21/05
Likes: This is an Art Nouveau hotel, 2 blocks from Union Square and in the center of the gallery district. The hotel is built around an atrium, like the Luxor in Las Vegas. The rooms are oversized and the bathrooms are huge. Dislikes: There are no views. For this vacation you are going to get out of the rooms. The staff never greeted us, or made us feel at home. The televisions are small because they bought plasma screen televisions. The restaurant changes every few months, I think, because the hotel lacks character.
