ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!
By Stefani, 08/11/09
This hotel was absolutely perfect!!! It was so clean. Because it was dog friendly, I kind of expected a "fleabag" motel. It was beyond beautiful! We had a king size suite. The bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Our dog was even welcome at the pool. I cannot say enough about this hotel. This is the first time I've ever written a review. I always leave it to "someone else", but this time I was so impressed that I had to share this very special hotel with others.

summer is hot in tahoe, lots of sun, upper rooms very hot, corner room windows do not open, asked to be moved, and was accomodated to a room with a sliding glass door. still hot but with some air circulation.

Great property, location, and staff!
By Kevin, 04/12/09
A friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the 3 Peaks Resort and Beach Club. We had originally booked a Thursday-Monday stay through a third-party site. My plane was delayed getting into CA so we couldn't arrive until Friday night. I was afraid that it'd be impossible to shift our reservation forward a day without being charged extra (especially since we booked through a third-party site). I called management and they were VERY understanding and gave us a Friday-Tuesday stay at no extra charge. The staff in the lobby were very friendly and helpful as well. The room we stayed in was decorated very tastefully all the way down to the rustic-looking toilet paper holder and towel racks. The bed was very comfortable and our balcony was spacious. The hotel has a giant outdoor two-tiered hot tub. In fact, I think it is the largest hot tub I've ever seen. There is nothing better than walking back to the hotel from the Gondola, dropping everything off in the room, and heading to the hot tub in the middle of a snowstorm. The hotel is within walking distance of the lake, the gondola, casinos in Nevada, restaurants, and a very nice grocery store (key if you're trying to save money on food). For what we paid per night, I did not expect the place to be nearly as nice as it was. We were so pleasantly surprised. I made all the plans and my buddy who I went with repeatedly told me "good job" for picking this hotel.

The smell was bad bad bad.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/03/08
Service was the worst, and the smell was so bad we could not stay. The bed was very uncomfortable. Could not get any service to the room for anything.

Super nice affordable Tahoe Resort
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/19/08
I stayed at the 3 Peaks Resort in Lake Tahoe and it turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. For the price and ammenities it is the perfect affordable getaway. Casinos are within walking distance and the Heavenly Gondola is only a couple blocks away. I personally found the staff to be friendly and my bed was as comfortable as any I've ever slept in. This place would be great to come back to in the summer as it is close to the lake and there is also a pool. Anyone looking for a great deal on a room in Lake Tahoe should definetly check out 3 Peaks.

Will Never Stay Here Again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/07/08
Overpriced and no customer service. Front Desk lady dealing with an apparently irrate Expedia customer phone call. She should have handled that away from the desk as the lobby was full of people. Very short on Staff. Arrived at 2-ish and was told we had to wait until 3 to check in. Yet, at 2:45 desk checked in another couple and told they could come back for their keys as the rooms were not ready. Why couldn't that have been done for us? Instead we had to wait around wasting time. And, in the Front Office bathroom, someone had peed all over the seat! Room booked for 3, only given 2 sets of towels and the sofabed was not made up. Had to scrounge around the rooms for some sheets. DVD remote had no batteries. Called front desk, was told she was the only person left and no other staff to come and help nor bring us the other set of towels. She said we can come get them ourselves. For what we paid for the rooms! I don't think so. Also, she said to work on the DVD because she couldn't come up until much later. She did locate a Cleaning Lady still on premise and she brought the set of towels. The was nice of the Cleaning Lady! But the front desk could use some help. "Resort" was packed, constant yipping of a dog next door, very limited staff (rooms were still being cleaned at 4:30 - get them some HELP!). And, oh yeah, we were charged twice for the room. Check your statements folks! Don't think we will be coming back.

Excellent value, well worth a visit
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/27/07
Don't be fooled by the previous, sometimes startlingly negative reviews. This place has recently undergone a change in management and a complete renovation, and was an absolute joy to stay at when we visited in late September 2007. The rooms have wood-panelled walls and are very clean, the staff is cheerful and friendly, and the place has excellent wireless broadband coverage, which is more than I can say for other, far pricier hotels in the direct vicinity, such as the... uh... Adequate Eastern across the road. It's just a few minutes' walk from the lake, the casinos, and numerous commercial venues, including a Starbucks for the caffeine-dependent such as myself. There's no breakfast included, but at $45 a night, who's complaining? In summary: great value, and a great place to stay.

Our stay was absolutely fabulous!!
By LJMoreno, 11/25/07
We arrived, got checked in to find an extremely immaculate two room apartment with gas heater and all the comforts of being at home. We went to the pool and hot tubs right away to unwind after the long drive and find it clean and relaxing. Going back to room we found comfort in the showers and the two bedrooms we had for our family. We loved our stay, no complaints at all. The location was great and we walked up to the shops and also to eat dinner. We also had our own kitchen so that we were able to make our own breakfast the next morning! Great place, we will be back.

Not what I thought.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/16/07
Really small rooms with no views or nothing to it. But if you want to spend alot just to sleep and nothing else to it then this is perfect for you. Small pool, small everything.

Upset Guest ! Never stay again ! Never !
By David, 04/06/07
Stayed here in October of last year - was ok - service was marginal .. overall it not a bad experience. Made reservations this week to go back - m job issue forced me to cancel before 48 hours had passed. I called within 48 hours to cancel - This HOTEL CHARGED ME A $25.00 cancellation fee !! A cancellation fee !! UNBELIEVABLE !! Now that is very poor customer service. I tried to explain that my government job was keeping me from going but that I would reschedule my trip. They wouldn't listen to me. "If you want to complain, email the manager, Linda", I was told. "Meanwhile you're getting charged a $25.00 fee". WOW !! This place is so hard up that they need to charge returning guests $25.00 lousy dollars for being responsible and calling in a cancellation weeks before the scheduled arrival date!! BAD - BAD - BAD - BAD - BAD - BAD - BAD POLICY !! (not to mention rude..) Our family and friends will never stay at this hotel again.. ever. There are simply too many other hotels in Tahoe to mess with this moronic policy. Keep my $25.00 dollars.. that's ok - by the time I'm done telling friends and anyone I can about this (I am in the public service field and come in contact with thousands of tourists annually) it'll cost way more in revenue then the $25.00 I spent to be responsible..Might as well get my $25.00 worth - The 3 Peaks can consider the lost revenue a "complaining fee". See my other reviews of this hotel on other travel sites !! Have a good day Linda !! Dave
