Montecito Sequoia Lodge, Kings Canyon Natl Park

For those hikers out there with kids, this is it. Montecito Sequoia is a full on kids camp, with counselors and activities around the clock... and a parallel program for adults. So while the kids are in their groups, you can hike by yourself in the sequoia national park, or get together with other parents to: hike, horseback ride, waterski, sing, do art, mountain bike, do nothing. Three fantastic meals a day prepared by an international staff. We go the same week every year, as do the other guests, so we see the same people every year and we are virtually raising our kids together at camp. love it. been going 5 years, and will keep going til long after the kids are grown up. They'll probably be counselors here, they love it so much. And did I mention how beautiful and quiet it is? No tv, no phones, no stores, just beauty. Love it.
