Ramada Limited Marina Del Rey, Marina del Rey

This was by far my WORST experience staying anywhere! The manager, Alex, was extremely rude and the least helpful person I encountered on my vacation. Not only would I never reccomend this hotel to anyone, I would never stay there ever again. I was so displeased I called their corprate office to file a complaint. Don't waste your time and money! This place will only spoil your vacation.

After reading reviews before my trip, was a little leary, but overall had a great stay! Yes the parking lot is small, but since we were there without a vehicle, it wasn't a problem. It is on a very busy street, but we were in room off the road, and was very quiet. I thought the staff was great. We had few things that weren't done in the room, but they were right there with anything we needed. The breakfast was about the same at any place we have stayed. Fresh fruit, cereal, toast, all the usual quick breakfast items. There is a very small hot tub, but the ocean is only a mile away, so who needs a pool. Buses run right past the hotel, and for 75 cents, we could head down to Venice Peir. The walk back wasn't to tough, even if you're not much of a walker. I liked the kind of "Hotel California" look and feel of the hotel. There were plenty of things within walking distance. Walgreens, 7 11, great donut shop right across the street. An "In and Out" couple blocks away, and down Washington Ave, any number of food establishments of all varieties. Overall, if you're looking to be in your room alot, this isn't the place for you. We went to see the sites, so it was a great place to land at the end of the day. I would stay there again.

Service at this hotel was great! The staff was very friendly with check-in and check-out. Housekeeping was great; rooms were always clean and well kept. Beds were comfortable and everything was working properly. The free continental breakfast was great. Lots of food and drink to choose from, and was in a clean room with TV's. Friends and I split our two weeks up: one week on the beach, one week in the city. This hotel was perfect for our beach week! Walk about 10 minutes down Washington Blvd and you're at the beach. Also, the Big Blue Bus (that's really what its called), stops on the corner of Lincoln Blvd and Washington Blvd and takes you right into Santa Monica. The Promenade and the Pier are great places to see. Walgreens is across the street, which is great for picking up snacks and extras. Great dining around the area and around the beach. Definitely recommend the italian restaurant C&O (both on Washington Blvd: one near the hotel, one near the beach)!
