Would you believe?

I've actually met a couple of prostitutes at this hotel. Pretty much what you'd expect. I went in there, banged her brains out and left. I felt dirtier from the sheets that the hot little whore.

The most DISGUSTING HOTEL EVER!
By Satisfied, 08/11/09
This place was creepy, dirty, and about as horrible a place as I've ever stayed. I would choose the Motel 6 over this place 1 million times over. Not only is it dirty; it's creepy. Never stay there. They should demolish this place and build a cemetary. It would be less creepy.

WORST HOTEL EVER!!! PLEASE READ!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/16/08
My boyfriend and I went to Huntington Beach for the 4th of July weekend and decided to find some place cheap to stay, which was about 20 minutes away. From looking at the pictures, it looked pretty decent for the price per night they were offering. HOWEVER, upon our arrival, the place looked extremely run down. I am assuming it used to be a RAMADA since 2 of the letters were still on the building, as so: "R A." There was no professional aspect to the staff whatsoever. The woman who checked us in was wearing a tank top and looked like she was living on the streets. She handed us our keys and said, "You have a great room... you realy do." Hmmm... I beg to differ. The elevator looked like it was about to break. AND you had to ask the front desk to press a button behind their desk to open it for you, therefore, we were stuck waiting for someone to help us open it. Half the buttons didnt light up in the dang thing and we were all the way on the 8th floor. When the elevator doors opened, I was completely shocked. The halls looked deserted, there was a dirty white couch against the wall and no sort of decoration anywhere. The buliding literally looked haunted. I was so scared to stay there and told my boyfriend I was afraid to even come back to this place at night (we stayed 2 nights!!) The room was ugly and the most discusting part of the whole thing was that next to the bed, there was a HUGE spot on the carpet that smelled like urine, and it was the only thing I smelled when laying on the bed. I was extremely grossed out and tried to mask it with perfume and other sprays. It amazed me how the maids didnt bother to clean it. It was completely obvious that something reeked in there. The television didnt even work properly, it was "snowing" the whole time! I also decided to go downstairs to ask what time continental breakfast started and the lady just shook her head and said..." No... none." They had a very nice looking area in the corner that obviously was used once for breakfast but not anymore! I honestly would have MUCH RATHER stayed at motel 6 than this dump. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FOR EVEN THE CHEAPEST PEOPLE.

It's not horible
By Pseudonym, 07/27/07
Sounds like a great name for a review. My night there was not nearly as bad as other reviews. The hotel did have a dirty feeling and look. There are no alarm clocks and coffe pots in the room either. Also, the shower is best used by someone 5'2'' or less. The price is great and the location is far from business centers.

A Great Place to stay. Really.
By Aldred, 06/18/07
Well, I travel about 70%-80% of the year and I stay in a lot of hotels. What I liked about the Plaza were the friendly staff who have always been very helpful no matter what time of day/night it is. I usually get a room on the 9th floor where the view is spectacular. I ususlly stay 1-2wks and I have NEVER been disappointed. It is a hotel in the re-furbrishing stages, however I have never been given a room near noise or annoyance. On the contray, my rooms have always been clean and fresh everyday. During my first stay I was impressed to see so many visiting groups staying there, as is even the case now. Made me feel good that I had chosen well. In reading the other reviews, I wondered if the person(s) writing them are really travelers/patrons or if they are not dis-gruntled previous employees. It just made me wonder since I have never had those experiences at all. I have booked the Plaza about 7 times now and will continue to do so whenever I am in the Orange county area. I mean really, it's a great "ECONOMY" hotel. I said "Economy". It's not the Disneyland resort, but it's Clean, Hospitable, Friendly,,..it's Great place to stay in my opinion. I am from New Mexico and I have stayed in other Economy hotels in downtown LA, Burbank, Fullerton, Phoenix, etc. and given the Plaza's close proximaty to the Amrtak/Metrolink station as well as my So. OC clients, it's a great fit. It's about a $5-$7 taxi ride from downtown Santa Ana and about 500yrds from the 5 freeway and the ZOO. As an entreprenuer, when I travel, I just need a clean, safe, hospitable place to lay my head for the night(s). The Plaza does all this and it's also has a friendly helpful staff, and the cable TV works too. Sincerely, A. Montoya Albuquerque New Mexico.

You get what you pay for...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/06/06
Not for the squemish. Knew in advance it was a Ramada "has-been". But, the price is 1/2 (or less) that of other area hotels and if you work with them, you will get an acceptable room. Zero TV reception. Great views and the pool is kept at 80 degrees plus! If you have a picky wife, find another place. If you need a good, clean room at around $50/nite - and you are not pretencious - it's a good move. Location is great - only a few blocks from Original Mikes (one of the best restrauants in OC) in downtown Santa Ana. Management seems to be trying to make this place go with limited $$$. I like the underdog. Will be back.

Sickening
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/06/06
This place is very old and run down. Everything is in need of repair. The hot water sometimes works, no alarm clock, torn curtains, scary dirty elevators. On site security hangs out chatting on the room floor lobbies while gangs of scraggy young people sleep in hallways and hang out in lobbies. Un occupied retail space on ground floor has for rent sign printed on 8 X 10 home computer paper taped to window in an asian charactor language. My room was 2 double beds with a single headboard bolted to the wall between the two. This place was just plain scary!

A bed to rest your head.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/02/05
I'm sure in it's day this was a beautiful hotel. It's nothing special now. The first room we were given...the door wouldn't open. The second room....had a full sized bed, when we had requested a a queen. On the third try, we got an upgrade to a king sized bed. It wouldn't be my top choice to stay there. It was fairly clean. The bed was acceptable.

filthy, dirty--you don't want to sleep here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/14/05
this place is just plain awful. many, many carpet stains. curtains ripped. chairs ripped and worn. chairs with stains on them. no alarm clock. filthy elevator. elevator doesn't automatically come and get you--you have to have the clerk bring the elevator down. sheets on the bed aren't fitted. they come undone in the middle of the night. hot water is erratic. i agree with 2 other reviews--i'd much rather stay in a motel 6 than this dive any night!
