Clarion Hotel Concord, Concord

Res. made in March thru Priceline for UC Berkley graduation accomodation was cancelled with 18 hrs notice. Priceline blamed Red Lion Concord Walnut Creek for the situation. The hotel does not answer repeated phone calls from me or Priceline. Never again!

I enjoyed my visit, the rooms are very spacious and the staff is very nice; at this hotel even the cleaning ladies say good morning. They are close to shopping and the freeway access. My biggest pet peeve at hotel is internet, I had a good strong connection along with speed. I would come back here again, during my stay I heard the hotel is changing hands and will be with another chain. Will my PC.

My company sent me on business. Upon checking in, my toilet didn't work and I saw a roach scurry across the floor. I requested to be moved and I did. A couple of days later, I brought back my left over dinner. A couple of hours later, there were ants everywhere!!! I called the front desk at 11pm, and was told maintenance was out, but then was told they would send up ant spray. At 11:30, I called again and was told that they were very busy and would get to it when they could. She seemed irritated that I even called back. By midnight, I was furious and walked down to the front desk. There were no lines, no phones ringing, it wasn't busy at all. Then I was told that she had forgotten what room needed help. I was a real priority, wasn't I? I could have been waiting all night, or else she was just hoping I would forget about it and just deal with it. I was told that I would have to move again. At midnight!!! Here I am wanting to get rest for business the next day, and they have me waiting for some help for an hour, and then just have me move all my stuff again!! Expensive and crappy!!!!

I had a family emergency and tried to cancel my reservation. Was told that I would be charged for the room anyway! DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!!

I travel alot throughout California and the East Bay is my main location. I belong to Hilton and it's brand, I checked in to the Hilton on Diamond Blvd and got a very cold welcome, if that was it was. I asked for assistance with my bags (I had lots) and I had to wait for 20 minutes before the Bell Man was able to help me. By this time, I'm tired, irritated and just not happy. A couple walked by me talking about the Holiday Inn Concord across the street, they attended an event there the day before. I eased drop and heard them deciding to move hotels because the service there was better then here. At this time, I was really getting irritated because of the wait and very tired!! I told the front desk person with no personality to cancel off my room, I'm leaving. I dragged everything in my car all by myself and drove a little bit down across the road to the Holiday Inn Concord. I left everything in the car, went to front desk and Christina & Paul greeted me like an old friend they haven't seen in a while!!! They checked me in (their rate was conderately lower then the Hilton) and asked if I had any luggage I need help with? I said yes, but noticed there was no doorman, Paul said to wait for a moment while he comes around. He brought with him a luggage cart, walked with me to my car and helped me with my bags up to the room. I tried to tip him but he didn't want to take it, he said he's just happy that I choose to stay with them. I called front desk to ask to speak to their manager and they transfered me to their General Manager, Stephanie Mullin. I told Stephanie that I wanted to mention my day to her and I am totally satified with the service of her hotel. We talked for a bit and it was refreshing!! I will definitely make the Holiday Inn Concord my Home away from Home!!! Great Staff, Great Service, Great Food!! You can't go wrong!

the hotel was great. the room was great. the food was great. the pool was great. the service was great. i would stay there again.

Clean and comfortable room with a view overlooking the pool area. Several admenities and the free high-speed internet access was a plus. The food was excellent and the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall great experience.

I booked the Holiday inn Concord online through the Priority Club Web-Site and was very satisfied with my decision. Although the web-site offered a Crowne Plaza in the same area for a considerably higher rate, I selected the Holiday inn Concord. The hotel was clean, comfortable and most of all, the staff was very accomodating to my special requests. This is definitely one of the best Holiday Inn's that I have stayed at recently. I will be booking the Holiday Inn Concord from here on out when I travel to Concord, Ca.

I was on a over night trip to the east bay Concord, Walnut creeek area. My Travel Planner had made my Hotel Reservations for me. I could not locate my Confirmation number. But when I got to Concord I called the hotel to confirm my Reservations. No Problem everything was taken care of. The front desk was great. I had enough time to catch a sit down dinner in the Bar. And off to my room to plug in my computer and check my e-mail. The high speed internet is perfect for me. Holiday Inn Concord East Bay Hotel is a great place to stay. It's a comfortable room and great location.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Concord on 02 March 2005. I found my stay was pleasent and the price was better then the Hilton which is lcated across the street. The food in the resturant was great. The bar tender Nancy was just what the doctor ordered after a long day on the road.
