Horrible Bed bug bites
By Nessa, 3/26/12
Once i got there the room and everything looked great, we had a fridge, cable and free wifi, parking was great! At night when i was trying to fall asleep i kept getting bit by something i couldnt find. At first I thought it could be a mosquito or something. Waking up that morning to find all these little bumps all over my body. I knew it was bed bugs! I've had this reaction to these little insects before. So i knew immediately what it was. My arms and legs look horrible. Please find another place to stay if your allergic to bed bugs. you will regret it.

Never again
By Stephanie, 9/4/11
I hated how the rooms were very connected. There was one door next to the bathroom that when you opened it, it was another door from the room behind you. it was tight shut and you could hear the people next door. There were creepy people and the area looks very dangerous. The free breakfast was merely donuts and cheap coffee. The donuts are gone before you know it because of the moochers. I will never return. I suggest paying 20 more for a better hotel. I left disappointed.

Nightmare.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/9/11
I hated every corner and part of this hotel except the front desk people. They were nice but its a rat hole of a place and will NEVER stay there again. I would rather sleep in my car that get any of that crappy hotel for free or even if I was paid to stay there. Everything about it is nasty. Front door didnt close shut, sliding door didnt have a lock, sink was clogged, towels had ants, dirty beds and furnitures, unsanitary all the way around and it smell like urine everywhere. Woke up with bed bug bites that I'm still suffering from. I HATED EVERY MINUTE OF IT THERE Save your money and go elsewhere it is not worth a penny.

Best value in LA
By Kevin M, 2/16/11
When I go to Santa Monica I stay here. When I go to Hollywood I stay here. And if for some reason I actually want to be in the area where Royal Century is located at I definitely stay there. It is all because of the hotel's value. The Royal Century is located by nothing special except LAX. It is just one of many $45-$55 a night rooms in the motel corridor on Century. The reason you stay here though is because you get so much for your $50. If you are in LA looking for the cheapest this is the part of town you must go to, but unlike all the other $50 a night rooms on the Century stretch the Royal Century is not a rundown motel. Some may call it a rundown hotel but I find the place to be clean, comfortable, quiet, friendly, safe, and more. The place is run by some of the most friiendly Chinese people you'll meet. They will bend over backwards to try to get things right for you. The rooms are big with balconies, cable TV, and big bathrooms with great water pressure. The place is extremely secure with only one way to get in or out, the front desk which is always staffed. The place even has an elevator too (how many $50/night places have that?). And although it is away from everything there are several bus lines and the metro green line nearby so you can get anywhere in the city in under 45 min (the LAX bus terminal with buses going from Long Beach to Hollywood to Santa Monica is a 5 minute bus ride away). The only real downside I'd give this place is some of the rooms do not maintain consistency. Some rooms are more rundown then others so you may have to ask to see another room if you aren't feeling it. Also, rooms on the backside of the hotel overlook a bunch of noisy rude residential homeowners with loud barking dogs, ice cream men who go by every hour with large noisy horns, and the occassional loud street conversations so you might want to avoid the back out of noise concerns if that stuff bothers you. Overall even though this is no Four Season I give this place the best bang for your buck in LA.

Double charging customersm be careful
By Ezzard_Lisa, 7/28/08
we were looking for a cheap motelin LA for a 14 hour layover, and we chose Royal Century Hotel. it was a so-so accommodation but we know we're getting it for a cheap price. the site asked us our credita card number but promised not to debit since we are paying cash for it. (venere.com says that they wont. guess what? it's been over a month and since then the double charge hasnt been credited back yet to my account after their constant apologies they made a mistake. i dont think they'd feel $65 reicher by withholding it back to us, would they? just sayin.... disgusted_client

Close to LAX and very good value for the money. Secured parking, clean room and a friendly staff. I would definately return again. Also numerous restaurants within walking distance. Shopping center 2 mile away

Will not go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/2/07
Older Hotel which could be improved to a great value. Our room was not clean but we did get cooperation in getting that problem partially resolved. My husband helped the desk clerk clean the a/c, toilet, sink, and refrigerator. From the looks of the dust, the a/c had not been cleaned in months. Knowing what I know now, I would not stay at this hotel again.
