Big and expensive disappointment
By Ewan, 7/4/12
The room was dated and small; the TV is small and far from the bed so it is difficult to view. The carpet was old and dingy. The ocean is actually far away and the only view is the other buildings and the dirty looking marsh area. The prices are outrageous. I would stay in a Motel 6 and save a lot of money to get the same thing you get here.

Great Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/16/06
This was the perfect end to our 10 day vacation in California. We stayed here our last two nights. The property is gorgeous. Our room on the 2nd floor had amazing views. The room was gigantic, and very clean. If your looking for total peace and quiet it's the place for you. If you need excitement I wouldn't recomend any where in Bodega bay. It is a very calm, peaceful little town with spectacular scenery. We had wine on our balcony one night and saw several deer righ in front of our room. It is eerily quiet everywhere in Bodega, so if you want to go somewhere for pure nature and to relax this is the place for you. 2 days is plenty. I wouldn't recommend any longer than that. The park in front of the hotel is awesome, sea lions were swimming right in front of us, starfish were everywhere. Amazing. It's a good end to vacation after you've been busy doing all the exciting things California has to offer.

Unsatisfied
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/2/05
This property was a complete disappointment for any couple under 35 years old wanting anything other than an isolated/silent weekend. The Pacific Ocean is a 10 minute walk off property so the Ocean View is certainly a distant view. The Duck Club Restaurant atmosphere felt more like two church reception rooms than a restaurant, in fact there isnt a bar/pub on the entire property. The food was just okay. The rooms were clean, but outdated. The TVs were small and across the room so laying in bed to watch was very difficult. The front desk admittedly said the closest bar/pub with more than 5 people under 40 years old was 30 minutes away in Petaluma.

NOT WORTH THE $$$
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/22/05
FOR THE PRICE OF THIS INN WE WERE EXPECTING MUCH MORE. CARPETING, FURNISHINGS, AND BEDDING WERE DATED. THE BATH ROOM HAD MILDEW, FIREPLACE WAS DIRTY, AND THE TELEVISION WAS HARD TO VIEW FROM WHERE IT WAS LOCATED. THE VIEW FROM THE BALCONY WAS THE NICEST PART. THE COST WAS QUITE HIGH COMPARED TO THE LUXURY SPAS IN NAPA VALLEY.I WOULD SAY DRIVE THE COAST DURING THE DAY AND STAY IN THE VALLEY AT NIGHT.

Wonderful stay
By cheryl, 9/9/04
We had a wonderful stay at Bodega Bay and Lodge, we enjoyed the evening wine and cheese hour. Walked along the beautiful grounds. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The room was clean and nice. We sat on our balcony and listened to the ocean and relaxed. We spent time in the jacuzzi by the pool just relaxing. In the morning we each had a massage. The massage started on time and was terrific!, did not want to leave!

Great calming ocean views - with ambiance galore
By Dean Handy, 4/30/04
We had a great stay at the Bodega Bay Lodge and Spa. Golfing at the nearby course is a real challenge - and the evening setting sun across the bay from our balcony room with the fireplace glowing was very romantic - and relaxing. (After golf on THAT course you'll truely appreciate this!
