Not As Bad As Others Commented!
Overall for it's price, the Econolodge San Bernardino wasn't as bad as many previous posters lead me to believe! Honestly I made the reservations before I was told by a relative's boyfriend, who was famuliar with this location. And too, advised me to avoid it at all costs! To stay closer to the Hospitality District instead! It carried alot of weight as he too is an off duty law enforcement officer. However may I say for the most part, I didn't have as bad of an experience as the off duty police officers who were staying because of their AOT, or the other guest who posted a comment. Ok, the area is very blue collar. And other then the taqueria across the parking lot of the motel, for me, and the price, it wasn't as bad as I thought that it would! Honestly I have had worse experiences with a five star hotel and paid much more! If you want a bargain with no frills. And believe me, this motel only provides the bare essentials like a clean bed. Bathroom with sparse toiletries. It is very doable! It is a must to have a rent a car as the choices for a meal are sparse. However 215 freeway is close. Train station very close (You Can Hear The Many Freight Trains Even At Night!) and Greyhound Station a block away. My only bad experience was that I had many noisy neighbors especially upstairs. They appear to not want to sleep and walk, roll some sort of cart all night long! Much prefer the train noise sorry! My suggestion should you want to take a chance on this place. Ask for a second floor room instead of the street level.
