traffic noise
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/24/09
On ramp and freeway right against the back of hotel. Impossible to sleep with traffic noise all night and trucks driving back 30 feet away from first floor window. Awful.

DID NOT SUIT MY NEEDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By ca, 1/8/09
I had been driving for 15 hours and was completely worn out. I checked into this hotel because it was the first one I saw when arriving in El Paso. It looked fine. First of all it's a hotel with no room doors opening to the outside. I hate this but that is just me. I had to use an elevator which I find annoying. Having to wait on it, ride it, carrying things up on it all irritate me. I'm much happier to park my car at my room. The whole hotel was airless -- stuffy -- I felt like I couldn't breathe. The first room they put me in had no control knobs for the heater and it was about 100 degrees in the room in January. No way to stay there. They gave me another room. The only good thing I can say is that the bed appeared to be clean. There was no microwave, refrigerator, or coffee maker in the room as is listed as amenities. There was no lighting to be able to read or work -- on can lights and big funky flourescent light over the head of the bed -- who wants that -- it's like a hospital. The desk where I had to use my computer was the size of a child's desk -- so short it was very uncomfortable -- I'm 5'3". All of the furniture is very ugly light colored laminate built into the walls. The phone was not near the desk making working difficult. The only surface on which to place bags had a nasty upholstered pad on it that I had to remove to the floor and sanitize the surface. The heat/air in this room worked and I was able to get the window open so that I could breath. However, my room faced and was very close to I-10 so the noise was horrific. I complained about not having a coffee pot and they did bring one to me with several packs of coffee and some styrofoam cups. I wanted to take a hot bath when I arrived but could not because the light and vent fan were on the same switch and you just can't take a relaxing bath with a loud fan blowing above you. There was no place in the bathroom to spread out toiletries. The TV was mounted up at the ceiling so the only way to watch it was from a lying-down position in bed, which I do not watch TV in bed. They did not leave enough towels in the room and I just didn't have it in me to call the desk AGAIN. I'm glad I only needed a place to sleep for one night. I had been in hotels for a month when I stayed here so my expectations were not excessive. I was happier in a Motel 6 for $31.99. The room was $59 with taxes. If this hotel were a store it would be a discount store like a K-Mart. I found the Choice Hotels to be the best for the money. They ran around $70 and for me were great.

Wonderful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/27/06
Everybody was very nice and their service was great. The rooms are very clean and their breakfast is served properly and well. The location is very good for families who come to visit and for businessmen that need a place to stay, and also if they bring their kids too. The hotel was just fantastic.
