Bring your ear plugs
By bonnie, 12/06/06
I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past. The quality of stay relies totally on the room selection. If you get booked in an interior room, you will love your stay. If you get stuck on the interstate side of the hotel be warned. The trucks sound like they are rooling into your room. Bring ear plugs or drink a bunch of the free beer.

Service is great--building seems old
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/27/06
Pros: Basketball court, spacious rooms, kitchenette w/ full sized frig, multiple item breakfast, convenient location to every good restuarant in the area (walking distance to most), conveniently located next to Interstate 40. Cons: Quality of the building itself and the furnishings seemed to be lacking (such as bed and lower quality shower). For example, there was a large gap under my door; everybody outside could hear my TV or radio just like they were in my room! Also, I could hear more noise from other rooms also (this wasn't too bad though). It seemed just a little too much money to pay for a lower-quality stay. During my stay, I spent a week at the Hilton Downtown. I paid less per night there (by about $40), the room was much better quality, though smaller, and I still got a breakfast since I was a Hilton Honers patron. The beds were much more comfortable here also. I had to pay for parking though when I stayed downtown.

Great hotel, great service, all the employees were so nice! I definitly reccomend this hotel to anyone traveling to Knoxville. Far away from downtown, so it is quiet, but plenty to do around!

Love Homewood Suites
By RobinT, 01/04/06
I've stayed at a couple Homewood Suites now and I must say that I've been very happy with them so far. This one is brand new and still trying to get things settled. My first stay there, the dishes in the room were dirty and there was a leak in the closet from the room above but by my next stay I didn't have any problems. The location is wonderful with shopping and dining within walking distance. My children love the place but would love it even more if the pool weren't outside and closed during the winter. The weekly evening meal is great but they run out of complimentary beverages very quickly. The breakfast in the morning is great. Given that their located in the south, I do wish that they had bisquits and gravy. I also wish they had bagged breakfasts available to people who don't have time to stay and eat and have to get out in a hurry. Internet access in the room worked great and the exercise room is very nice with plenty of new equipment and everything needed. I'll go back the next time I'm in Knoxville.
