nice and cozy place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/5/11
it's a very comfortable and cozy place to stay; in a nice and natural setting; close to the park; we stayed for a night and two half days; like the spaceous ante room in the suite. loved the friendly staffs.

bed bugs do not stay here
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/3/11
I checked in and found the room to be very dirty and run down. Checked the bugs and they were completely infested with bedbugs. The owner would not refund my money and did not even act suprised about having them . He knows and does not care. STAY AWAY!!!!!

Nice place and good value for money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/2/11
Very close to the parks, lovely location and nice, sparkling pool. Great breakfast! Despite other reviews we found it to be clean and comfortable. The price was very good, and being so close to the parks it was decent basic rooms for a jumping off point. Lots of choices for dining although there isn't much of a town, more of a gateway to the parks but this kind of trip all you need is a place to crash after so much beauty all day, Would recommend for budget travelers who don't expect luxury accomodations.

Do not go there !!
By Adamg, 6/17/11
Upon check-in the front desk staff was nice. But our room was very dirty, I will never go back. There was a hair on the bathroom floor, dead bugs in the window seal, the carpet looked dirty & the beds were made very lazy.

horrible!
By anonymous, 8/29/10
Do not go here! Our room was infested by bedbugs! And the staff at the front desk did not even look surprised. In addition, there were spider webs hanging from the ceilings. The rates were low, but we learned that cheap hotels are not reliable.

Will never go back
By ruth, 7/14/10
In July 2010 I stopped there for 1 night on my way to go camping at Sequoia national park. There is a river running behind the hotel and a swamp next to it which has contaminated the hotels water system. When you turn on the water in the tub this very black very smelly water comes out. When I complained they sent someone over to run the tub until the water was clear and I was told it was safe. Even though the water was clear it still stunk bad. I had to wait to take a shower at the campgrounds. Also the pool water was very cloudy. The rooms are roomy, breakfast was ok but the water ruined it for me.

We love the place
By Victor Dolcourt, 10/25/09
Our family had a family celebration, and all of us stayed at the Western Holiday Lodge. There were about 15 families. The proprietors worked overtime to make our stay pleasant. It was great. The breakfast was filling, and the rooms are very clean. We can't wait to go back. Our room backed onto a nice patio and a short walk to the river.

Didn't want to leave!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/11/09
This was our first stopover on our 7 day Roadtrip and we were VERY pleased when we arrived after a long drive. The property was on a gorgeous lot backed up against the Horse River and there was plenty of lush grass for my dog to run around on. We didn't care what the room looked like after seeing the great lot, but were even more pleased with the huge room, cathedral ceilings and balcony with seating!!! Was quiet and the staff was friendly!! I would go back in a second.............too bad we had to leave the next morning!! ;-))

We arrived here after a full day of driving and were more than pleasantly surprised!! There was room to breath!!! A huge lot for the kids and dog to run around, the room was huge with cathedral ceilings plus the balcony!!! We only stayed one night, but I could have stayed here a few more days!!
