Door Openers Useless
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/22/09
When we drove up to the hotel, there were all these men standing by the door and no one came to help unload the car or even came up to welcome us to the hotel. I had to roll everything into the hotel, not hat I needed any help, but some degree of assistance was never offered. The doors were pulled open, but as we walked in the two door openers keep talking to each other, no smile, no greeting. They are there for their own purpose, not yours. When we checked out, the same door openers keep talking to each other. As we walked by, they rudely and loudly talked right into our ears. The people at the door are useless, so that should tell you about the rest of the hotel. Stay elsewhere.

hotel rates too high, table limits too high.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/02/09
I like the atmosphere, but the hotel rates are too high. The table rates are also out of line, often on the weekend, when most average guys can play the limits are $25 who can afford that. Lets talk comps. These are virtually non existence here. I go to play black jack approx. once a month and I am not a high roller but $200 to $400 is alot of money. I got a mailing this month for a $129 room rate (mon-thu) I went online and the room rate was $109 are you kidding me. Lets face it the problem with L Auberge is that they have no competition in lake charles. I have been going to L Auberge since they opened and they have definetely changed for the worse. I have started going to the ELDORADO in shreveport.

Dont Pay so Dont Stay
By jason, 06/10/09
Nice resort property with good restaurants but terrible service. If you do not have your social security card with you the casino will not cash in your chips, no matter how small the amount. You can present them with valid ID and credit card, but if your social is not with you they will hold your money hostage. Tell them you need a Patron Dispute Form which they will have to send to the Louisiana State Police Gaming Enforcement department. Very inconvenient and not customer friendly. Nice place to stay but gamble in this casino at your own risk. They are sending out 1099s to players and will not let you dispute the amount that they say that you made, so hope they get the amount correct and no you can't give them a 1099 if you lose. They won't allow it.

Too noisy
By MarkP, 06/07/09
The room was nice, but why the birthday cake left in the room? My only complaint was that they were doing construction on the room below mine early the next morning. Sounded like hammering. They refunded $50.00. I stayed up late in the casino the night before, as many do, and would have preferred to sleep until check-out. If not for the noise I might have enjoyed my stay there.

L'Auberge Rocks!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/22/09
Great casino, great resturants, rooms, pools spa's, night club. Head & shoulders above anything else in the area. Great people in all areas.Get a players card & get comped! 20x odds on craps is better than what you get in Las Vegas these days.Save the plane fare, go to Lake Charles .Eat @ Steamboat Bills & Tony's Pizza!

Overpriced for what you get
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/30/08
Took my mother there to see Tom Jones in concert. He was great!!! The hotel left a lot to be desired. They doubled the hotel price I'm assuming because it was a weekend and there was a concert. I don't see how they can justify doubling the price when you get the same room on a Saturday night that you would on a Monday night. Room was average, no extras. Carpet was stained and the room smelled! The buffet restaurant is overpriced and the food had no taste. Le Cafe however was very good. Our stay was not a good first experience. I felt ripped off for what we got. Don't think I'll be back.
