Ramada Inn Antioch, Antioch

The room looked good. Got in and realized that all of the knobs in the room were on backwards. If you wanted hot water....you had to turn it to cold. The room was freezing....had to turn the knob for a long time...and finally when put on cool the heat kicked in. The bathroom door knob and latch were backwards, the knob for the shower heat did not work correctly again, had to put it on cold. The best part was that the hotel did not have any face towels. ANY. NONE. Asked if there were some in vacant rooms.... nope. No face towels. Then at 2:00am...some stranger pounded on our door asking to use the phone and call their mother. We called the front office and asked if there was security.... was asked why we wanted to know. Told them that someone was going door to door asking for access. Never found out if there was resolution to the problem. I know I am forgetting something....but... overall.... VERY DISAPPOINTING AND NERVE WRECKING EXPERIENCE!!!!!

The front desk had a cat running around on it. The front desk personal, tried to rip me off. First they wanted $109.00 for two nights. Next they told me I had to give them $100.cleaning deposit, and $200 Security deposit. I told them to cancel my appointment and drove home. On my bank statement they charged me $100, and I did not stay there. I am an 100% Disabled Veteran living in the Vets home. can't tolerate young snots that steal from Veterans. Mrs. Janis Rambajan

I had to walk outside in the cold at night to the office to get my own towels because they won't bring them to you. When I went there, someone else was trying to get towels too. This hotel looks nothing like the pictures posted on its website. Someone came in and did some serious cleaning when those were taken because it is an extremely dirty place! I will never stay there again and I would never recommend this hotel to anyone!

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever walked into! If people actually stay here and say it is o-k then they have very low standards as to what is o-k. Online, it says this is a 3 star hotel. The second I walked in to the lobby I was able to see that this is really a 1 - 2 star hotel. It was dirty, very old and smelly and the clerk at the desk was very rude to 3 different people while I was waiting in line to check in. I went ahead and checked in because I had prepaid non refundable reservations through Orbitz. On our way to our room, we saw the pool ... it had chunks of green algae floating in it. Not quite like the crystal clear nice pool shown in the website photos. I opened the door to the non smoking room and it smelled so bad inside. The room was absolutely disgusting! The curtains were hanging half off, the lamp shades were all stained up and crooked and there was still trash in the trash cans from the last people. The lobby was full of homeless looking guys sitting around in flannel PJ's drinking beer. Now really a place I came to stay with my child. It was so bad that I left 15 minutes after I checked in, lost the money I paid and drove down the street and stayed at the Comfort Suites ... a MUCH BETTER PLACE for only $20 more. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!!! IT LOOKS NICE IN THE WEBSITE FOTOS BUT THEY ARE NOT AT ALL ACCURATE. THOSE PHOTOS MUST BE FROM 10 YEARS AGO AND A DIFFERENT OWNER. THIS SCUMMY HOTEL LOOKS LIKE THE TYPE WHERE DRUD DEALERS LIVE AND PAY BY THE MONTH!NASTY IS THE ONLY WAY TO DESCRIBE HTIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've stayed at this hotel before and this time around the house keeping wasnt what I expected. I had used a small towel to clean a spill my grandbabay made and put it aside. When we came back after "cleaning" the towel was folded and placed back on the rack. I beleive it should have been replaced! My key also kept getting demagnetized. The staff was very nice and the room was ok regardless of the house keepping. although they did not provide me coffee in the room.

Housekeeping missed giving me several towels, when I asked the front desk, he gave me one bathroom floor towel instead. Because the door had problem to open that night so I was running back and forth about 5 times already, so by the time I got the wrong towel from him, I was too tired to go to him for exchange anymore. I thought Ramada in different cities should have the similar standards, I went to other Ramada at many other cities, however, Antioch Ramada is the worst one, dirty and smell, I'll tell all my friends and family, never stay there.

We arrived and were given our room keys. To enter the room, it was necessary to try several times and shake the door. Many complaints: no batteries in the remote for the tv; no ice in the ice machine; unable to communicate with staff, did not speak english; no microwave in room, coffe & cups in the room, but no coffee maker; at breakfast, no cups for coffee-went to front desk and was told to search the cupboards for a cup; and at breakfast, they ran out of food. We had hoped to spend some time at the pool and spa, but the pool was very dirty and the spa was closed. Sleeping was not bad, the bed was a little hard, the freeway noise was tolerable, but the airconditioner next door was so loud it rattled the window and was difficult to sleep through the night.

i stayed at the Ramada inn and the room sink was leaking the room was dirty, and we had to call the front desk serveral time to get the sink fixed and to have someone clean the room. The housekeeping did not vaccume the floors and the pool was dirty could not swim. i think this was the worst hotel I have ever visited. Waterloo....

I couldn't agree more with the first reviewer. This place was is terrible. The rooms were cleaned infrequently. We had to call the front desk to get clean towels at 6 p.m. after the cleaning staff left for the day. The "breakfast" was a joke as there was a choice of over ripe fruit and little else. I found out the next day that the staff ate much of the breakfast in their break room BEFORE it was taken to the lobby! The room keys had to be programmed twice a day or they would not work. That wasn't a huge problem as I found out any staff person would let you into a room without I.D. Finally the T.V never worked correctly and there was no response to requests to fix it. Consider sleeping in your car before staying here. You will have safer and cleaner accomadations!!!

This was our 2nd stay at this hotel. The first time there were no bath towels available. The 2nd time the tv got horrible reception, the clock radio didn't work properly (it flashed all night after setting it properly) and the A/C made a rattling sound. The bathroom and bedroom were clean.. but we will stay somewhere else in the future.
