I think this was an excellent hotel. It is kept extremely clean. This hotel in Toronto would be double the price. I believe that they should offer free internet, especially considering the business area it is surrounded by. I would recommend it,

The shampoo, soap etc was not up to the caliber of the hotel-the packaging of the products was very slick, but not the content. The room had a strange feature in that there was a glass window built in beteween the bedroom and the bathroom.... to allow a better view of?? It did have a blind available to allow for privacy if one chose to use it though.

The earlier reveiwers are spot on for this hotel. This is a nice hotel in the Kanata technology district of Ottawa, however, there are hidden charges everywhere. There is no outside long-term parking - the garage is the only alternative at $10/day. If you are traveling on business, check to see if the company you are visiting has a rate and complimentary parking. They charge for the morning paper also and the charge is hidden in the sign-in contract. You can request to not receive the paper if you like. Also, there is an early checkout fee of one day's stay. The only place I saw this outlined was inside the little envelope your room key comes in. You can avoid this charge by letting them know your early checkout time at least 24 hours in advance. I also received an extra charge (after I left) for some food (in the room) that I did not eat. I hid the food basket under a side table to avoid the temptation, but I still got a charge somehow. This charge was taken off after a phone call. This is a nice hotel, and the careful traveler can avoid all the extra charges by reading EVERYTHING you are given (even the room key card) and asking questions. Otherwise, you can easily get caught for an extra $100+ dollars if you are not careful.

What a superb property. Ottawa's only 5 star boutique hotel. I will recommend the Brookstreet to all my fellow Porsche owners. While we guys can have fun on the Calabogie Track our better half will enjoy their first class spa. The four diamond restaurant is also superb.

Heard about this property, called itself a resort,where ever they got that idea is beyond me!They have a pool and a golf course(which I think operates separately) ordered room service and it came cold and I believe was delivered by a maintenance person or a housekeeper(not sure which, but uniform looked dirty with paint on them!)Spa experience was was top notch, problem with AC in room first night, took over an hour for someone to respond(I think it was the same individual who delivered my room service the following night). Good luck..hope this review assists you in the future.

I don't usually write reviews, but I have to tell you, this place is really awesome. The decor is modern throughout, and the place is sparkling clean. The staff is friendly and professional. The menu for the restaurant is excellent, with lots of interesting, high-end type choices - plus, it's really tasty! Maybe the best part of the Brookstreet is the SPA! It's a full service spa, so whatever you want, they probably do it. It's close to a lot of the area's high tech companies, and we usually get a really good rate, too -- as good as any other business person's hotel that doesn't have all the amenities.

Dislikes; draft beer $9 a glass at the bar, food very expensive, high speed internet in rooms but they charge you for it $13 a day tried to use it didn't work talked with other guests who also had trouble in their rooms, called front desk not much help from them, they hand you a pass to get in and out of the underground parking but don't tell you it's $10 a day, had numerous phone calls billed to my room which I never made, even charged for toll-free numbers, rooms were just not comfortable, too much stainless steel fixtures especially in bathroom gives a cold feeling, business meetings and conventions seem to be always going on there. Likes; the elevators were fast. Conclusion: Guest beware, you will get nickle and dimed to death here, if your looking for a comfortable, good value hotel, this is Definatley not it, look elsewhere.

very nice, but overrated. The golf course was challenging and was kept in top shape considering the winter conditions in the area. Would definitely come back.

Brookstreet is a very nice hotel. The decor is modern and unique. The service is great and the rooms and bed are very comfortable. Good connectivity if you need high speed as well. The only complaint I have is that although their internet site looks great, at times using their internet site to book a room can be a nightmare!

Staff is friendly and helpful, food is great, wifi in restaurant for free. Rooms are clean and comfortable, but pricey. Great spa and gym! Overall, great hotel, but be ready to open your wallet.
