Fantastic Home From Home Experience
By ,
After staying at the Knight Residence for the weekend enjoying a night out in Edinburgh the apartments well deserve the 5 star rating it holds. The apartments are well designed blending luxury and comfort and giving you that warm home from home experience. I must congratulate Colin Stone and his team for making our stay a memorable one. My recommendation would be that visitors to Edinburgh experience the Knight Residence this will enhance your stay.

Mar-April 08 Stay
By ,
Our stay at the Knight's Residence spanned the period of 28 March to 5 April. We arrived light, minus two bags after transferring through Heathrow's new terminal 5. That aside, the stay was outstanding. The hotel staff were helpful, professional, and understanding. One morning we woke to find the clocks had been pushed forward an hour and we had booked a tour. The staff called us a cab and the tour company to advise them we may be late. End results, we made the tour and had a great time. The apartment was very nice for a family of 3. Plenty of local information inside for take our or order in meals. The staff recommended several local eateries which were excellent. Location was ideal for walking the ONLY downside were the adult clubs very nearby. We were never hassled but this can be a bit disturbing and alarming if you're not expecting them. The staff did say the area was under development so the clubs' days were numbered. Overall, excellent time and we will definitely stay here again.

We loved this place
By ,
Having a kitchen was great. Everything was well stocked and clean. Our family likes to walk, and the location worked well. It was close to the castle and off the main tour routes.

the best of the best
By ,
We have been in a lot of serviced apartments in various parts of the world and this is the most professionally run, best equipped and best appointed place we have had the pleasure of staying in. The service is great and friendly, every little thing in the apartment has been thought of, the location, though on the edge of a slightly seedy part of town, is incredibly central - just leave the car in the security carpark and start walking. The decor and furnishing is like staying in a home rather than a hotel environment, but the apartment has free internet access (with laptop available for rent by the day), cable tv, cd, vcr.and a selection of movies and CD's. We were greeted with a breakfast pack, fresh bread, milk, and butter, and yes, you do get your name on the both the front door security button and your own apartment door! We really enjoyed our short time in Edinburgh and this was certainly enhanced by having such great accommodation. We are planning a return trip sometime hopefully soon for the festival, and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.

Wonderful experience!
By ,
When we arrived, first thing I have noticed was how friendly they were. Very polite and friendly staff. Our apartment was beautiful with everything one can need included-even a nmae tag on the door-! They had some breakfast food for us which was very helpful. Shower was great and beds were very comfortable. Unlike other places we have stayed, this hotel had cable tv and small selection of movies in the room.As far as I can remember room came with washer and dryer, dishwasher, iron and board,tv-dvd player-vcr,stereo,kitchen appliances, hair dryer. Private parking is always a plus.Location was central. I would love to go back again...
