Will never go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/14/10
We read all the reviews and thought the negative reviews must be wrong, but they were right on the mark!!! This is a poorly managed property in a terrible state of disrepair. At all times, there is only one person working the front desk, which means they are checking people in, answering calls from guests and making reservations for outside callers; they are terribly understaffed. We left our room at 8:30 a.m. and put out the "Maid service requested" sign only to return at 4:30 p.m. and find not only that our room had never been cleaned, but that the maid staff had gone home for the day. The carpets in the hallways were filthy, the wallpaper was falling off the walls in our bathroom, the tub was moldy, the lamp shades had spills and stains on them, and every wall, door, and door trim had numerous large paint chips on them. The grounds have definitely seen better days and nothing was working (i.e. hot tub, vending machines, ice machines,, ect..) . They advertise an restaurant on the property which we learned had closed three years ago but they had never changed the advertising or taken down the sign. Very disappointing stay!!!

Great experience close to downtown and U of A
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/5/10
An excellent experience. Large clean rooms, view of the large pool area, pleasant service and a generous free breakfast. A genuine bargain only a few minutes away from downtown and the U of A. One of the guests I met at the bar in the evening who was on a regular business trip said he'd tried the other hotels in the area The Riverpark Inn was the best.

Thank You Very Much
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/22/08
My family of 4 just went on vacation to Tucson, Grand Canyon, and the Las Vegas area. We used your motel and had 3 others on our trip. I want to say that that for our monies worth your motel beat them all. Your breafast bar was great and the people that worked it was very friendly. We found the people at the front desk very friendly and helpful. We used your motel coming and going. Our experience was excellent, if asked I would not hesitate recommending your services. Thank you for helping to make our trip one to remember.

Very disappointed
By JAS T, 4/4/08
From the descriptions we read about this hotel, we looked forward to our arrival but were very disappointed when we got there. It's very run down and deserted not to mention located quite far from the downtown area. We hoped to be able to walk places but had to drive everywhere. The only good thing about our experience was the breakfast.

Desperate need of upgrading
By kdub420, 5/11/07
linens were threadbare, towels had holes, TV was dying & A/C gave me a terrble allergy attack. Lobby & pool area are nice...too bad that didn't carry over to the rooms. Even the Bennigan's attached to the complex was bad!

Awesome Experience
By Robert, 7/11/06
I reserved through Travelocity and got a rate of $45 a night, which included breakfast. I expected continental and instead got the full American breakfast (real scrambled eggs, waffles, bacon, juices, cereals, all very good). The Bennigans on site had local beers on tap (two varieties of Nimbus as well as Fat Tire and a host of British imports). The room was clean, the cable television selection great, and for the money I think this was the best hotel I have been in for a while. When I read the reviews, I was expecting a run down place and that was not what I had at all. We stayed two nights and had a great time. Keep in mind, this is not the Ritz Carlton, so don't expect chauffer service. They had a very clean pool, free croquet, bocce, and bikes, and the experience was very nice for me, my wife, and the two friends traveling with us. Two thumbs up!

lazy and unprofessional front desk
By Araceli r, 3/26/06
When we arrived we were told that our reservation was not in the computer and that there were no vacancies for the next two days. I was sure I had made the reservation but did not have a printout to verify anything. I asked to use a computer and they sent me to the public library!!!! Luckily we found the library before they closed and we printed out the reservation took it back to the hotel but still nothing was found. The front desk called Yahoo Travel and said that they did not have our reservation and did not have any vacancies and passed the phone to me. The Riverpark Inn basically washed their hands and didn't even try to help my husband and I who by the way were traveling with a baby. After almost an hour on the phone with Yahoo Travel we found a hotel. The Yahoo Travel operator (I wish I had her name) was extremely patient and helpful. She got us a reservation at a very nice hotel with a great staff who made our stay very pleasant (The Hilton, El Conquistador). We will never again try to make a reservation at the Riverpark Inn. Even though we never stayed there, the lazy and unprofessional staff are enough to give it a bad name.

fabulous deal
By MERCEDES CORBELL, 12/31/05
We loved the oasis like feeling of the central courtyard. Our room faced onto it and we felt like we were in a garden rather than a hotel. We enjoyed the pool and the chance to relax between our other activities. The free breakfast was a nice extra. We have family in Tucson so we'll definitely be back to the Riverpark Inn.
