Travelodge Scottsdale, Scottsdale

This is a brand newly remodelled hotel with new carpet,bathrooms,new furniture, and heated pool. It also has free wifi and a deluxe contl. breakfast. With its location it is more than reasonable priced. So where those other comments are for are surely not this hotel.

I did not like this hotel at all, the bathroom floor was full of dirt, the faucets were leaking with rust, makeup on the pillow cases and the best part of all the door that combindes the two rooms did not latch or close right. Talk about cleaning and security issues. I would never recommend this to anyone even if I hated them. Horrible hotel I did put a complaint with the corporate office. We left and went to a differnt hotel.

I didn't expect much, and what I got even less! BUYER BEWARE!!! I knew it was outdated in the structure, appearance, etc... but OH! The glass transome above the door was broken and they patched it with a piece of slat board. I didn't notice this until after dark when the outside lights were on. Night flying bugs came through! Noise from talking passersby came in and I could hear every work as if they were standing by my bed! I called the desk at 3AM to complain about the party next door...he came and told them there was a complaint & to keep it down, they did until he left and they started up again! The room was on the same side as the office and 4 doors down from there! They could hear the noise! The maid came by at 8am... checkout time was 11am!!! When I complained at checkout, I was told the manager would contact me...he never did! The extra $30/night at the Marriott down the street would have been worth paying!

The hotel overall was okay,older rooms, and fixtures, could use updating but was a good price and clean. The location is very LOUD. We stayed two nights Fri/Sat. Both nights we could hear the bar crowd until 3AM. It was very difficult to drown out the noise it literally sounded as if it was right outside our room.

Decent area if you're into staying somewhere really close to downtown shopping and experiencing the Scottsdale nightlife locals crowd. Other than that, this motel is behind the times compared to others around the area. NO INTERNET, simple furnishings you could buy at walmart (you know, that particle board stuff), and the "breakfast" they advertise as being "great" is terribly WEAK!! Mildly dissapointing overall.

This property is conveniently located near the 5th Ave shopping district in Scottsdale with restaurants nearby. The desk and motel staff were very friendly,polite and helpful. However, the motel and rooms itself are in desperate need of renovation. Some of the furniture was stained and the blankets were in poor shape with tears and holes in them. The paint was peeling off the outside walls in several places. The towels smelled SO strongly of chlorine (and I know a little is to be expected) that I couldn't stand them and had to go purchase some of my own to use. I'm wondering if we stayed in the same place reading the last review. Maybe they have remodeled since May. We payed about $55.00 a night (weeknights) for 2 double beds (may have been queens), small frig, microwave, coffee pot (supplied coffee in packets was not good at all). It was reasonably clean, beds were very comfortable, staff was friendly and very helpful. Close, walking distance to lots of shopping, art galleries, silver jewelry stores (5th Ave. and Old Downtown Scottsdale). Restaurants a short drive away. Not terribly far from Phoenix airport. The complentary breakfast was adaquate I guess. All-in-all we were VERY pleased with our stay. We would definitely stay there again. Having said that, we did hear a rumor that the hotel was changing hands. Exactly what that meant I don't know but supposedly the rates were going to go up. I still think it would be worth it even if the rates were a little higher.
