Gold Canyon Golf Resort, Gold Canyon

All right, I admit upfront that I am a sucker for a great suite, and these are terrific. A series of casitas on a south-facing terraced hillside, most contain four suites. We have stayed in three distinctly different suites and all were huge, beautiful and very, very comfortable This is a perfect place to stay if you are attending the Rennaisance Festival, or are looking for a romantic hideaway. I have walked part of the golf course but have not had the time to play. It appears to be a very good course. When we required service, it was relatively prompt and efficient. As far as food goes, this is almost the only game in town. If memory serves, food quality, including room service, was good, if not exactly excellent, and prices were what you would expect in a resort. For us, the main draw is the suite and the setting. Together they make a unique experience.
