Pleasantly surprised!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/26/09
This is a wonderful resort! I have had the pleasure of staying at many 4* and 5 * rsorts and have to tell you, this is one of my favorites. The staff is friendly, accomodating, and genuine, while the property itself is lovely, comfortable, and upscale. And the spa! I have stayed at The Lodge at Pebble Beach and thought that was as good as it gets until visiting the spa on the premises! Enjoy all that this resort has o offer. The adults only pool, poolside service, a great and friendly staff, wonderful restaurant with stellar service, and the gelato at the cafe! What more can a person, especially a woman, ask for? And a short walk takes you to Camelback to enjoy an amazing hike. I have an ocean view here in Southern California, but there is something breathtaking about this property. I can not wait to return. Don't hesitate to book at this gem. You too will be pleasantly surprised!

The treatments were out of this world. The staff was knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly. We spent the whole day using the spa and health facilities. Can't wait to go back!

the most extraordinary resort I've seen
By audrey, 12/17/08
From the moment you walk in you are transported to another world. It reminded me of my youth in my small village in Spain. It is extraordinary how they were able to replicate the look and feeling feeling . When you walk in you will leave all your worries at the door.

Intercontinental Montelucia Resort
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/04/08
The Intercontinental Montelucia Resort is a new luxury resort in Paradise Valley built on the site of the former La Posada Resort. It is still under construction and therefore no reviews yet exist. They plan to open in September of 2008, if construction is finished.

What are you people writing? This place has been torn down for 2 years.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/07/08
You people are crazy. This hotel is great, or should I say was. Sorry to say but there are many homes where this hotel once was. In the over expansion of Arizona they tore down the La Posada and since placed McMansions all over the place.

Food for my soul
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/22/07
I was a young widow in 1991, with three small children. We were on our way back from California and not only missed our connecting flight, we couldn't get the next one for 24 hours!(Panic, Panic, Panic)!!! And the added bonus......Our luggage made the flight!! After "freaking out", a very nice woman gave me the number to La Posada!! The Hotel came and picked us up at the Airport, gave us all the "necessities" we needed, and put a "crazed mother" at ease!!! We bought a "one time" camera at the gift shop, had the best Orange Roughie I have EVER eaten, my children happily swam in the "biggest pool at that time", and I layed back on a pool chair and THANKED GOD for this wonderful place!!! I always swore to myself that I would go back to La Posada one day and Thank them for all they did for us!!! I cannot believe that when I FINALLY chose to look them up to book a room, they are "DONE"!!! I would Sooo Love to Spend a night there, not only to Thank Them, but to relive a "turning point" in my life!!! Thank you La Posada, Your perfection made me feel "special", and helped me when I needed it!! Yes, I have pics, but have no idea how to "put" them on the computer!!! Just know, you are in our memories FOREVER!!! Carol and family

My favorite Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/20/07
I love the pool the most! The fact that you can swim through a senic waterfall is awesome! I really want to go back, it was the one of the best experiences of my life! I would'nt want to go to any other hotel than this one. I had no dislikes about this place. The cost, the quality, and all of the recreational facilities are great deals!

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/28/06
I would like to start off by saying that the location of this beautiful resort was amazing to wake up and see such a spectacular place is such a joy. You are just minutes away from the best malls and shopping you could imagine The pool with the water fall is just slendid!! I have been trying to schedual a vacation for myself to come back online but have not been able to find a date available, but that has not stopped me from trying!! Well hope fully I will be able to join you at this amazing place and be able to rate is as good as the last time. Thank you once again for making my trip a memorable one.

It was paradise
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/23/06
I'm so sorry it's gone. The magnificent pool and mature landscaping made it look like paradise. You could sit under a large palm tree near the pool and feel embraced by the beauty of the desert. The rooms were large and beautifully placed in a ranch-style setting. I spent many wonderful vacations at La Posada. One year, when I suddenly took ill and had to be hospitalized, the hotel staff could not have been more helpful. I will never forget this wonderful oasis. It made me fall in love with Arizona and I will miss it dearly.
