The last time I'll stay there

Recently, I booked 2 rooms at the facility. I am a timeshare owner and making the reservations went well.
I have visited many “Resort Destinations” in my 20+ years of owning a timeshare, and I know what to expect. The facility is not a resort, but rather a nice hotel. At a resort one is treated better.
Of the 2 rooms we booked, one was for us, and we gave the other to relatives as a gift. They were in room 2050 and we were in room 2020. When I’d gotten the rooms the person at the front desk stated that I needn’t worry about noise for room 2050 even though the bar was directly downstairs. She said the bands stop playing at 9 PM. With her assurance, we took the room.
Our room looked very nice and neat but when we got into the bathroom, we found long black hair on the floor and in the tub. This wasn’t appreciated. We came across someone from maid services but she dismissed our comments quite openly and no one ever came to clean up. That evening, we were surprised that every time someone used water in rooms neighboring ours, we heard the rush of water. Speech also carried through the paper-thin walls, floors, or ceilings. The next morning, after reading your “in room book” that explains what is on site and what you offer, we went to the main desk to make reservations to the Comedy Club entertainment that was stated in the book as being every Wednesday evening in the Sunset room. We were told by the man at the main desk that that was a thing of the past and it had ceased to be for at least 5 years now. There was no apology given for having outdated information in the book. It was then that we also learned that the arcade was closed, the barbershop was closed, the exercise room wasn’t open, and that of the 3 pools on site, none was warm enough to swim in.
We left the facility and entertained ourselves during the rest of the day and then, even though the lady at the activities desk couldn’t help us find a place to dine, we had a nice dinner out. Her comment was that she liked to cook so she didn’t know of many places. Upon returning, we decided to go to the bar for drinks. First we sat outside by the fireplace, but when no one came to take our order, after ½ hour, we went inside to place our orders. The place was far from being busy. We ordered Bailey’s and coffee and asked for decaf coffee since our bedtime was nearing. We were told there was no decaf coffee in the building. We made substitute orders and then waited, and waited, and waited. During this time there were 4 women working in the bar but most of their efforts went to talking among themselves. Finally 3 of the 4 drinks came and it was quite a while before the last drink arrived.
After drinks we retired to our room. It was then shortly after 9 PM. Then the fun started for our relatives in room 2050. At 9:30 PM the music was still blasting, so loud my relations couldn’t sleep. They called to see how long it would last and were told it would end right away. They called again after 10 PM as not only did the music not stop, but a louder group started up. The front desk then told my relations, when they made a 2nd call, that they’d take care of the noise, but at 10:30 it was still keeping them up. It was close to 11 PM when the music finally stopped.
The facility was an embarrassment for me. I’d planned to treat my relations to a pleasant, resort stay, when in fact, when they left, they were tired, and disappointed with what transpired. As far as I’m concerned the LBR failed the test and I have no desire to ever again set foot in it again. I also plan to express myself openly when it comes time to letting others know of my experience. It’s a shame, too, as there is so much that could have been done to have a completely different experience.
