Very disappointed
By Unhappy traveler, 05/28/09
This hotel is not at all what we expected. Outside of hotel old and run down, located in very bad area. Small room not suitable for anymore than 2 adults. Advertised free airport shuttle only applies to person on reservation (my daughter was flying in and was told she was not able to use this service) even if she could, they would only send someone if there was someone available. No elevators, be prepared to haul your luggage up cement stairs that have seen their day, not to mention the walkway once you get upstairs it has a definite lean. If there were an earthquake you would most likely be stranded upstairs. Did not feel safe. Needless to say we checked out within an hour. We have learned our lesson and next time will not bargain shop.

cheap, low class
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/14/09
This is not a resort and caters to low-class Canadians and Germans. Imagine waking up for a poor night's sleep to find laundry, wet swimwear hanging on the walkway rail. The low quality sheets too short for the beds and the bathroom/shower was ridiculous. Decor is outdated, noisy a/c, staff allows loud drinkers to yell all night. The kitchenette was okay, but came at the price of oddly converting a closet into a bathroom. The made to order breakfast, was not fancy, but effecient. The "manager's happy hour" doesn't come close to that of an Embassy Suites. The crowded, unclean, bird poop in the pool, one bartender, makes it a low-class event. This was probably at one time a decent place, but has decided to cater to the lower-class that wants to brag about staying at a resort. Look for a better value with some class, as our otherwise nice stay in the Phoenix area was tainted by this dump.

Good budget option
By BizTrvlr, 03/15/09
Location is convenient to many areas of metro Phoenix. Always felt very safe here. Lots of retirees/snowbirds staying here. Room did NOT have good heating and room temp is centrally controlled -- sleeping was not comfortable and mgmt was not able to correct.

Was very comfortable there
By Teresa B, 08/23/08
As soon as we walked in our room, I felt at home. My daughter and I really liked it! She had been there once before. I liked the location since it was near shopping and a casino, which we planned to see. Staff very helpful.

Wonderful Experience!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/07/07
My husband and I have stayed here twice in the past and are planning on it again in spring of 08 when we go on our annual golfing vacation away from the snow! This is a great place to stay, clean, warm and friendly, the breakfast and "Happy Hour" definitely add to the atmosphere. It is very nice to meet, mingle and talk with the other guests in the courtyard each night. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and will book all the golf you want. We always get a one bedroom suite as we do not like to eat out all the time, and it is a nice touch to be able to get fresh produce and meat at the market down the street and cook it up on the barbeque outside of your room. We will always come back here because of the friendly staff, atmosphere and cleanliness.

Will never return
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/03/07
Basic hotel nothing fancy, but what you would expect for the price. My problem is the noise, constant racket coming from the pool area. A large group was booked here and there is constant yelling, sounds like a party going on outside your window. The noise went on until 11:00 pm, the hotel does nothing about it. I came here to relax, it is not something you could do here. This is the worst experience I have ever had anywhere I have stayed. This is not a place for families, do not bring kids here.

Would NEVER EVER go there
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/02/07
I got this hotel through a travel site and thought it looked decent on the pictures and liked that it had a kitchenette and free breakfast. When I got there, I thought it looked like an old motel converted but they didn't even convert it because the old formica and old furniture showed their age. I was so tired from my almost 5 hour flight that I opted to stay there at least for the night. BIG MISTAKE!!! I ended up having a run in with BED BUGS!!! Got bitten all over my body from neck to toes. I am in such pain right now from the swollen bites and itchy skin. I saw a doctor and he was just as disgusted as I was. Nevertheless, I didn't stay there another night and would NEVER ever recommend this hotel to anyone. It was loud, old, no elevators, and not a good place for rest! The night staff was at least nice and paid for my cab to the next hotel...but they knew the pain and ordeal I went through so I think they felt compassionate to help, but it wasn't enough to go back there. Being nice is one thing, but the owners have to spend a little money and get proper pest control.

Canadian Snowbird
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/01/07
It is not fancy but very clean. Golf was set up by the resort and they did a great job. Had a bit of problem with our car rental.
