NOT Worth the Price, but OK
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/21/11
The location was great for visiting the Grand Canyon. There are several restaurants within walking distance, and the hotel has a restaurant, gift shop, game room, and small bowling alley which are all great. There are lots of little problems with the place that made our stay annoying and makes me say, it is not worth the cost. First, the toilet in our room had freshly been used with evidence left when we arrived. The pool is very cold - lots of folks came by, stuck a toe or hand in, and left. The pool water surface was covered with bugs and I was eaten alive by mosquitoes while watching my son swim (and shiver). The wifi connection was SUPER SLOW. It took 10 minutes to load the first page. The stairway near our room was blocked off/under construction, and the next stairway over had exposed, splintered wood with shards laying on the ground (splinter hazard). Bottom line is great location, but a 2 or 3 star experience, not worth $215/night.

Excellent!
By G., 7/30/10
We stayed two days. Absolutely one of the best experiences we've had at a hotel of this type. Clean, with excellent staff. Lots of little extra touches too numerous to mention, set this place in a class by itself. The breakfast buffet was very good, but could use more protein/diabetic friendly foods. And gravy! Where's the gravy! We can heartily recommend this hotel. It made a big difference in making our vacation very enjoyable and memorable. Thank you!

We would stay there again!
By MONICA, 3/29/10
We enjoyed our stay. At check in, we were offered an upgrade to a room in their main building, but since there was a chance of snow I wanted to be in the outer building to enjoy the snow. The room we had was bright and roomy. I liked the soap and lotion dispensers in bathroom and the sink in the vanity table separate from the bathroom. The bed was comfortable. Very worth the price! We got up early both days, it had snowed and the employees had already salted down the walkways and the areas were clear. We were able to buy our tickets to the Grand Canyon at the desk and the concierge was very helpful in helping us make our plans to drive other places. The free breakfast was probably the best I'd had at any hotel. Sausage, eggs, french toast, pancakes, breads, potatoes, cereal, lots more. We didn't try the restaurant, but they had very interesting menu items, like Bison, Elk and wild pig! We ate in the bar, the food was good. The employees were very friendly. The bowling ally was small, but it looked like the people playing were having fun! We are going to try and return in the fall with our kids, the Best Western Squire Inn will be our first choice!

great hotel for families
By talias, 12/3/09
This hotel is very good compare to other bestwestern hotels that we had visited in our trip. I think it can considered as 4 -5 stars. There is a fun family center, the rooms are very clean and comfrtable, and the restaurants are nice.

Would never step foot in that place again
By AV, 11/9/09
The bartender/waitress was the rudest person I have ever encountered in the service industry ANYWHERE. I have traveled quite a bit and never been treated the way I was treated at this hotel. There was only one man in the whole place that was actually friendly and seemed to care at all about the guest experience. The overall customer service at the businesses inside and outside the Grand Canyon is very low for some reason, this woman made the rest of them seem top notch. Pretty hotel but I would never stay there because of the experience I had in the sports bar. AVOID, the Holiday Inn Express just next door was clean and had a very friendly staff but The Grand was overall the best one of them all. Nice staff, clean and beautiful compared to the other hotels. And if you want to go for a drink/food go to the

Classe Turística
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/20/09
é no meio do nada !!! à noite a gente caminhava no meio da avenida, pois nao passava um veículo, mas é seguro. Para quem quer luxo, tinham outros hotéis que "pareciam" ter uma aparencia superior. Boa viagem. Ricardo Otero

Adequate
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/29/07
Room was not available until after 4pm, but was clean and pretty big. I would avoid the Hotel's "Fine Dining" establishment Coronado Room - horrible service and mediocre, overpriced food.

GREAT HOTEL WITH GREAT PRICE
By ROBERT G, 8/16/06
My Family and I spent 2 days at this hotel. This place was clean the service was great. The game room was a plus the kids enjoyed that. I enjoyed the free breakfast I would say that the breakfast alone saved my family 20 to 30 dollars a day. It was in a great location one mile from the Grand Canyon. You could walk to Mcdonalds, Pizza Hut and a few more privately own resturants. We found a resturant that sold pizza for $6.95 that tasted pretty good. The souviners were a little expensive but I recommend to drive back to the City of Williams for souviners. Overall I highly recommend this Hotel.

Marginally clean
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/15/06
The room looked like it had not been vacuummed in a while and the bathroom was lacking soap in the shower and an extra roll of toilet paper. The toilet got plugged and it took several phone calls to get it fixed. Great hotel location, fun game room and nice continental breakfast (need more tables), but just vacuum the rooms and stairways more.
