OUR ROOMS WERE GREAT!!!
By ,
Two of my daughters and their spouses, along with my 17 year old granddaughter, accompanied me to Phoenix for Thanksgiving, and I looked forward to introducing them to the Biltmore (where their father and I had visited more than 40 years before). I am pleased to say that they loved it every bit as much as we did. Everyone felt very festive at the Thanksgiving buffet in the Gold Room; the food at every meal was very good; some of us visited the adjacent Wrigley Mansion, some played golf, all of us enjoyed the fire pits in the evenings. The history of the hotel is fascinating, and the location makes for ease of exploring. While we were still there, they were already planning to return for next Thanksgiving!

Horrid Dinning Experiance!
By ,
The hotel was ok, not up to my usual standards, I'm used to trendy European resorts, so I wasn't surprised that it fell short in that respect. The real shock, however, was the food, a "buffet," (yuck, what is this, the early bird special at Denny's? I prefer my hotel experiance to be "sneeze guard" free, thank you!) for breakfast and for dinner a fish dish that made of friend of mine so sick she seriously thought about going to the E.R.. I believe this horrid dinning experiance is due to Matt Alleshouse, the smug chief, who operates more like a low level cook, (perhaps Denny's IS where he got his experiance.) I also have some worries about the overall cleaniness of the kitchen, health inspectors really should look into this place, seeing as how their spoiled seafood almost kill a friend of mine. If you want a postive experiance avoid the Biltmore, it's not worth getting sick over.

Breakfast run around
By ,
When we were at the Biltmore we wanted a light breakfast. We were told that the only breakfast available was the $35 per plate Sunday morning buffet. We explained that we really didn't want alot of food - just eggs or french toast - but were told there was nothing available except the buffet....so, reluctantly we took it (total for two was $71.00) As we were leaving we went outside and people were having eggs on the patio. When we asked them about it they said they were also told they would have to use the buffet, but they came out to the patio, saw menus and ordered! What's the deal here? Won't return to the Biltmore if this is their dishonest tactics to get people to eat their buffet breakfast. There were only a few people at the buffet despite their pleas. BUMMER!

Coasting on reputation
By ,
Facilities are beautiful, wonderful, etc. BUT was stunned that we could not get heat in our room during a 3-night stay despite repeated requests. Would not pay what this place costs to be that uncomfortable.

Great Resort With Minimal Children!
By ,
I'll be the first to admit that it's fairly expensive and I've definitely been to other resorts that have nicer rooms, like at the Phoenician. However, what's great about this place is that it's not swimming in children's activities so I don't have to listen to children screaming all day while I'm trying to enjoy a quiet weekend. The spa is lovely and the golf course is also really nice.

More than I imagined!
By ,
I just returned from the Biltmore Spa and Resort in Phoenix and what a wonderful stay! I couldn't get over how clean and inviting the hotel was. Everyone was wonderful and all the staff were so friendly. Each room was equiped with bathrobes, a 37 inch flat screen TV, balcony and separate seating area. I wanted for nothing while I was there. I would definitely recommend this to anyone staying out west and can't wait to reurn myself!
