University Inn, Auburn

Great location. However, the rooms are not good at all. I suspect the owner has not put a dime into this place in a long time. Given its location, the owner must be waiting for the highest offer so it can be torn down and redeveloped. Despite the value and location, I would not stay here again.

Two considerations: Value, walking distance to downtown entertainment. If you are going to be spending very little time in the room and want something close to campus, this is a great value. If you want something nice and with value you will have to stay down the road somewhere. If you want nice and close to campus, stay at the Conference Center. I have stayed there too, but decided I didn't want to pay that much for as little time as I spend in the room. I stayed there last year, and I just booked another weekend.

Right in downtown Auburn, near all the shope, restaurants and toomer's corner is 15 steps away. The place looks a little old & rundown, but i checked other places & this one gave the best value for money. Ideal for 1-2 day visit to AU.

You do not have enough space for me to write why I will never return to this hotel. First of all, when I go to a hotel, I do not like to sleep with insects crawling in the sheets. There were large roaches crawling on the wall. The bathtub was a nice brownish tan and the sink held was stopped up. My mother-in-law's room next door was just as bad. We were afraid to take a bath or walk on the floor without shoes. We could hear all of the noise from outside. I did not dose off until 4:30 a.m. and then it was a very light sleep because I was unsure of returning insects. Yes, pets are allowed. They were in the sheets.

Good place to spend the night in Auburn. Very close to the university is its biggest plus. It is great value for money a bargain! Highly recommended. Service however leaves somthing more to be desired.
