Will never return
By Suzanne, 10/04/08
Stayed in a suite. Dirty sheets on sofa bed, broken sofa bed, broken door to name a few. With all the problems, we were promised roll-a-ways that never came. Would not recommend this hotel!

This place stinks!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/07/07
The first thing that hit me was the overly strong odor of some cleansing product that immediately triggered an asthma attack for me. Not an auspicious start. This is just not a great hotel and a terrible place for women to stay alone because the rooms open up onto balconies that anyone has access to. It was also right off the freeway and very noisy. I hate it. I'm laying here right now just hoping to get through the night and survive the odor. It costs way to much to stay here too. This seems like a cheap hotel that should cost maybe $50 a night at the most. The only good thing is internet access so I could right this review.

Beware!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/01/07
I have stayed at this motel during Mardi Gras for years. Each year we had an issue, one year no hot water. Every year tub would drain very slowly. always ended up standing in water before I was thru showering. One year someone else was in our room. Staff always held us hostage about check in time, they would make everyone wait till late in the afternoon and then make everyone line up like 1st graders. Rates were extremly escalated during Mardi Gras. All I can say about management is they should be very ashamed of their business ethics. I recommend sleeping in your car before renting a room here.

AWEFUL!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/05/06
First off, our shower didn't work. Next, the tub wouldn't drain...that was just the first night. The next morning, we awoke with ANTS in our BED!!! They were everywhere...on the floor, in the corners, on the wall and most definately in our bed! The staff acted like this was a normal occurance, and was not prompt in resolving the problems. Our request for another room was ignored, and so was the request for a discounted rate since we had to stay and put up with such conditions. The room smelled and the holes in the wall were merely covered up with wallpaper. Would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone, nor will we ever return!

Not a good value!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/05/06
At $132 a night you expect more than this. The rooms were not very well cared for, however the good thing about the hotel is that it was close to the civic center where I had a meeting

WORST hotel I've ever stayed in
By Katy, 02/17/06
I travel very frequently and this was by far the worst I've ever stayed in. This hotel was the only one with rooms left near the convention center and we figured it wouldn't be so bad because it was recommended by our conference's website. The front desk clerk was rude; he kept taking phone calls instead of checking us in. We literally waited 15 minutes for him to get off of the phone. Once checked in, the room we got smelled horrible. The carpet was sticky; the bathroom wall had holes in it. We asked to get switched to a new room and were told that this floor had the best rooms. I would have hated to have seen the others. Another conference participant had a room that wasn't any better than ours. We did not feel safe there; even put our chairs in front of the door when we went to bed. I slept on top of the sheets because I was worried about the last time that they had been washed. We got heckled by three other people staying at the hotel and upon complaining to the front desk got no response. That could have been because the ancient security guard was always asleep in the lobby. I would NEVER recommend this hotel.

Good Place, Great Locationa
By Sissy, 02/14/06
The hotel seemed to be an older hotel, but was surpisingly clean and looked recently remodeled. Room was very quiet and spacious. Staff was very friendly. Location was close to all clubs downtown, and great location to stay at during Mardi Gras.

Our stay in Mobile during the week of the Senior Bowl was great. The people were extremely nice, and our room was very clean. The location was perfect for us. We would stay here again!

Disgusting!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/05
This was undoubtedly the nastiest hotel I have ever stayed in. I would not have chosen it except it was the only one left with any openings near the convention center where I was attending a conference. The sheets had not been changed as I left there with a disgusting case of CRABS. Stay away at all costs!!
