If you value your life, DON'T stay at this motel

There was nothing I liked about this hotel. It was filthy #1 and the hotel desk clerk was rude to say the least. When we could not get our phone to work in our room, after complaining for the 3rd time to him - and him directing my son to go accross the street to use their public phone - where two men attempted to rob him the the desk clerk remembered we had to give him $20.00 cash to call long distance (even though he had an imprint of my credit card that was no where near the balance limit) In the end my son stayed up most of the night just to keep his wife, 3 week old son and myself (his mother) safe. At first light we threw everything in the truck and left. We ended up at the Hampton Inn in Pelham where I would send my grandmother - to the Days Inn in Birmingham I would send anyone that I never cared to see again because you are taking your life in your own hands if you stay at this dump.

Friendly Staff

Easy for us to find in a big town. Also accept pets. This Days Inn really needs some work done, it was very dirty, Lots of dust, spider webs, and the bathroom ceiling was falling in, they tried to hide it with the shower curtain but that didn't work. We will NOT stay in this hotel again.

Will never go back!!!

After unloading all of our stuff we found that the faucet in the shower was broken and the phone didn't work. They did move us to another room, so we had to load all of our stuff back up and move. Both rooms had a bad odor. Thank God we noticed that the phone didn't work, as late that night we had someone try and get into our room. We called the front desk and they said that they would do something about it but it happened again about 2:00 A.M. I feel that if they had of done something about it that there would not have been people running back and forth hollering, etc. all night. We also received a phone call late at night stating that the police was down at the front desk wanting to speak with us, it turned out to be a prank. We talked to the man at the front desk upon leaving and all he had to say was, "I will tell the manager". What was funny though was his name tag said that he was a manager. He took down our phone number but that was as far as it went.

Highly Disappointed

Let me just say that after 12 hours on the Road from Chicago my family was looking for a shower, some food, a bed and perhaps a relaxing time by the pool. Instead we pulled up with other individuals attending the same conference and they complained of blood and urine stains on the sheets and horrible smells in the rooms and mold. I did not just take this as it was and did decide to view my room. I was very disappointed the curtains where dirty, the room smelled and the bed loooked as if someone just remade the bed. This hotel looks nothing like the internet pictures. I and about 50-60 others where highly deceived. This was a very large bus load, including my own family to find other arrangements. This hotel lost alot of money that day 6/23/08 and the staff was very unfriendly and unkind and the manger of the hotel stated. It is not his problem we drove x amount of miles when told of his rudness. DON'T BOOK A ROOM HERE. Some people had to stomach and stay because they had no place else.

Worst Room ever

This place was the nastiest hotel we have ever seen. This place was just gross, the rooms were dirty and smelled really bad. It was in a bad side of town and all you could hear all night was rap music blaring.

The reviews had me worried... but we had no problems!!!

I booked this hotel online before I read any reviews, needless to say after reading some of them, I was very worried about picking this hotel. But everything was great, we only stayed one night because we were in town for a concert.... it wasn't the Marriott, but I wasn't expecting that anyway!!! Good choice for somewhere to crash after a night downtown!!

This place should be shut down!

I have stayed in Days Inns before and never have I seen such gross conditions as here. It was also in a very dangerous neighborhood and I felt lucky that I still had my truck in the lot in one piece the next morning! Rooms were disgusting, bathrooms were moldy and had dirt everywhere. Towels had spots and hairs on them. Tv didn't work. Breakfast wasn't fit for a dog! Days Inn should really look into this horrible place and take their name off of the building.
