..but they couldn't hold the reservation

Ever see that episode of Seinfeld when he reserves a car but when he gets there they have no car for him. That was our trip to the Golden Parnassus.
Booked it 7 months in advance. Got to the hotel, they took our luggage, sat us down with drinks and said..oh, we overbooked and we don't have a room for you. After the inital shock and aggrevation wore off, we said ok now what. What's going on? what is the golden parnassus going to do for us. Well they put us in the sister hotel the Great Parnassus, which should have been called. the "it'll be great in 2 years when we finish it, Parnassus". Paid for a Deluxe ocean view, gave us a lovely view of the side of the Hilton and we could hear the hum of the AC units, which in our room kept the room at a cool 78 degrees all week. But once they turned the water on, at least we could cool off, if we could see in the bathroom that 3 of the lights didn't work in. The answer we recieved when we complained was "I know".
