Golden Parnassus Resort & Spa Adults Only All-Inclusive, Zona Hotelera

I truely enjoyed my trip to Cancun and Golden Parnassus. I met up with old friends and made many new friends. Everyone had a great attitude and was looking to have fun. The staff were very nice and always greeted you with a smile. The food and drink were exceptional (Food was outstanding, except the steak in the old barn, drinks were awesume and the bartenders always remembered what you were having) It was one of the best holidays I have ever had and would (and will) go back! Hopefully soon...

This hotel definitely represents a perfect combination of excellent quality and rather low, affordable price. The rooms are very clean and well maintained, the beach is awesome (was there in August, so it was very hot and humid, but the beach still rocked). Food is delicious! Overall, this place rocks, and I highly recommend it!

I'm not sure Renee C. went to the Golden Parnassus, it's adults only, unless you visited their sister resort. Yes it's an older resort, but very clean, the staff is outstanding and caring. Maybe they picked up on your attitude and just dished it back. If I were you I would never go back, they never forget a face, so I'm sure you'd have an awful time.

I was shipped here after being told my original reservation can not be honored by Temptation because they were over booked. Then I was told this was a 5 star resort NOT! The rooms smelled like a sewer and the food sucked. There were more kids than an elementry schoold and the elevators took up to 20 minutes to get to my floor. I'm so mad I can't remember the rest! Oh the shower was dripping brown water the AC was on 24/7 and it was cold outside,

We came back after five years. Had fun then and expected to have fun again. We sure did. We went with three other couples. One couple has stayed at a lot of places and can afford the finest. They think this place was great. The staff is very friendly. The food is very good at the Pier and Barn excellent at the buffet Sumo and Shangrilla. We went on the AquaWorld trip to Isle Mujeres and that was incredible. My wife and I had so much fun we are going back the first of March. If you go here and don't have fun it is your own fault. This place is great.

WE LIKED THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE BEACH ADDED 1000 FEET OUT CLEAN FRIENDLY HELP AND ROOMS

This place was an absolute DUMP... Service was horrible. Food was HORRIBLE and the same in each restaurant. The beach was CLOSED for most of the week. The staff did NOTHING to accomodate us for the nonsense. Rooms were dirty. It was an act of god to get the beds made each morning. I would not recommend this place to anyone. this is definitely not a 4 star hotel. i would rate it a one star if that. The resort website and the actual resort are like comparing apples and oranges. marketing for this place gets an A+. Dont waste your money.

My wife and I needed to escape Chicago area after one of the longest winters I have ever lived. Our travel agent recommended the GP and she and her husband even joined us midway through. We had the greatest time and will be going back. I have read some of the other reviews and don't understand how some of these comments could be made. Yes, it was hot , it was Cancun in May, and what other reason would you have to go after winter in Chicgo? No it was not the fancy place I have ever been to but it was one of the best. I traveled for over 20 years in the USA, Europe, and Asia and was never treated better. This ment more to me then fancy. The staff was great. The other guests where extremely friendly and relaxed and best of all cookie grapers (kids) are not allowed. I raised my own and realy appreciated the fact I did not have to put up with someone elses on a relaxing trip. From the moment we arrived to the day we left we felt special thanks to the staff. Foncie and Jose at the Tikki bar and the wait staff in the buffet and our check in at the lobby bar with welcome drinks. We got our room early, not a norm in any of the 20 years of travel, where sent to the buffet for lunch and toured the grounds. Our room was lovely and overlooked the ocean. Each night we left the patio door open for the sounds of the waves on the beach and the fresh air/breeze. The sounds of the parties at the Tikki bar party got us out of bed and back to the party a couple of times. After all this was vacation and party is our middle name. The food at all the restaurants was great and best of all my wife was having a great time. To those who have written a bad review I feel sorry for you because you attitude is what spoiled it for you. I suggest that you not go on a vacation again because you don't know how to have a good time and roll with the flow. I am glad none of you were with us because you and you attitude would have been a downer to those of us having a great time. Stay home and let us party without you. I have another review I wrote when we came home last year and I am on this sight to make reservation to go again along with our travel angent and friends. I hope when we arrive only people wanting to have a good time are there to meet us.

I just returned home... The food was excellent as was the service.. The staff was very accomodating. The resort was clean.. the beach was also nice with only a couple rocks.. I have no complaints at all. I will return soon, I hope.

My wife and I loved this place. We were there 3 years ago for our honeymoon and it was Awesome!! Nothing that we didnt like about it.
