Caution Bed Bugs

I have stayed at this hotel many times before and it has always been a very nice place to stay until this visit. I have never seen it so dirty. It's a shame for such a nice hotel to be this bad. I know it is under construction but they really need to clean the place up. Checked in Dec 15, 2009 for three nights. First room smelled bad so they gave us another room. That next morning we killed (5) bed bugs in our room and took them to the front desk and told them that we had some univited guests. They did not charge us for that night and did move us to another room that did seem to be a little bit cleaner. Also the hallways of the hotel smelled of cigarette smoke which is strange for a non-smoking hotel. We had to be really careful and check our clothes, luggage, etc. to make sure that we did not take any bed bugs home with us.

Grandkids loved it. Would like larger rooms, nice for wife and myself but small with a 7 yr.and 13 yr old.Have stayed there 5 times ,getting ready to go again.

BEWARE! Bed Bugs

It is not assosiated with National Parks, it's not a resort or a lodge. They have bed bugs, they will tell you they don't but they do. Want proof? Well if you walk down the halls of the 2nd and 3rd floor they will have a garbage can marked "Code 6" if you ever hear anything about Code 6, they are talking about bed bugs.
 
 
 
 
 
OK place

We have stayed there several times in years past and yes, it is getting run down. BUT they are remodeling! Our room was clean but not fancy. I am a clean freak, so behind the beds were very dirty and I did not like that, but I am sure they are like that at almost any place you stay. I read about the bed bugs on here before I left and was worried since I had made reservations. I checked the place really good before I decided to stay and saw nothing AT ALL! The towels were VERY ragged and you could tell they were old and I did not like that, but I only paid $49.00 a night so I was not expecting the Hilton. The ladies at the front desk were nothing to brag on. Not friendly at all, but not hateful either. They should be more friendly. Our cleaning lady was EXTRA nice, very friendly, talked to us and asked if we needed anything. She was great! The indoor pool had pitiful lighting. Dangerous.

not again

there are a few things why i wont go back. they dont know what a suite is , the difference between a suite and a regular room is the tv is a little larger , the furniture is a pine instead of other the view is suppose to be better (mine looked out at strip but also had a gigantic dumpster right below my balcony) and your away from where the pet rooms are. the room is the same size other than that. other suites i stayed in had a very much larger room sometimes with a seperate bedroom and a lot of the time with a full kitchen. the towels are so cheap no one would ever want to bring one home (if offered) except for a rag. my room was missing shampoo and whren i called down they told me to come get it. i was already for a shower and didnt want to get dressed again. they never offered to bring it to me. they had lights in the pools but it got dark why we were in it and no one turned them on. i guess you were suppose to ask. they used to give a decent discount for the local resturant now they give a dollar off. a lot better deals than that almost anywhere by checking the coupon books. i made reservations there because i thought it was great and resonable but if i would have just went there and found a room after i got there i would have had a nicer room at about $10-$30 cheaper. a lot of deals there with the economy unless there is a car show or something big going on
 
 
 
 
 
RUN FAR AWAY

My son and I got over 20 bedbug bites each at this place. After our first night there, I woke up the next morning with a bite on my forhead and one on the back of my leg. My son had a couple of bites as well. I didn't think much of it as we had been outside almost all day the day before. However, our second night there, my son and I both woke up at around 3 in the morning itching all over. We had several bites each. I spoke to the manager on duty and he switched our room the next morning. That night, in the new room, we both got even more bites than in the previous room. We checked out at 5 in the morning because my son and I were miserable. Of course, no manager on duty at that time. We have requested our money back (room was prepaid) several times but are getting no response from hotel about this. They say that they had their staff check the rooms and found no evidence of bedbugs but that since they do allowe pets in the hotel, our bites COULD have been caused by fleas. So, even tho they admit something there caused these bites, they still refuse to give a refund. Rooms were musty smelling, hot tub didn't look as if it had been cleaned in months.
 
 
 
 
 
NEVER GOING BACK

THE FIRST NIGHT WE GOT THERE WE LEFT AT 1:00 AM BECAUSE OUR BEDS WERE FULL OF BED BUGS IT WAS AWFUL TERRIFIED MY SMALL CHILDREN THIS IS THE MOST DISGUSTING PLACE EVER THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT IT IS THAT WE DID GET ALL OF OUR MONEY BACK. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUG MOTEL TO ANY ONE.

BED BUGS!!!!!! LARGE ONES!!!!!

I had stayed here twice before and left early the second time because we saw a roach bug in the pizza we had left on the table when we went out. My daughter was upset and wouldn't sleep in this room so we left the hotel at 2am to go home!!! I thought we would give it one more chance because of it's convenience but that was a BIG mistake!! The matress was nasty and I stayes up all night trying to keep ,what I found out the next morning, was BED BUGS off my two children. I was given my money back by the manager and told that any cost I had to have my van cleaned or clothes ,blankets, etc. replaced the resort would happily reimburse!! The manager was no longer with the resort when I called to let them know of my cost and was told that they would not repay me for my cost to replace my items!! The new owner said that the manager also had no authority to refund my money, I thought that was what a manager was for, to make the guests happy. NOT AT THIS RESORT! I thought BED BUGS were small, NOT THESE!! THIS HOTEL WAS NASTY! And they only closed that one room off, so I know the BED BUGS had to be in many rooms!! I am taking the resort to small claims court, DON"T STAY HERE, IT IS NASTY AND IT WILL COST YOU MORE IN THE LONG RUN!!!

Don't know if we will go back

The first time we stayed at this place it seemed to be wonderful. We checked in the people at the front desk was really nice and the 2nd time it was good 3rd time a little worse and the last time (Sept 08) it was terrible. First of all we made reservations for 2 rooms 3 weeks ahead of time. Non smoking rooms when we got there they had l smoking and one non smoking room reserved one on one end of floor and the other on the other end. We specifically asked for 2 rooms by each other. When we questioned the employees we were lied to and when I requestioned they never even offered a reason other than a group was there for the shriners convention and that they got the other rooms. I said what about the reservations we made they said since there was so many in their group they wanted to be close and they grouped them together and these 2 rooms were left. The people at the desk was very rude, ill mannered, and not professional at all. I had previously recommended this place to alot of my family and friends but now I have taken that recommendation back. I really was happy the first couple of times there but the rooms are not being kept up they are in bad repair and the service at the front is in even worse need. Wonder if they ever heard of you catch more flies with honey than lemon....I know they don't have the easiest job but if this is the way the management wants the customers treated specially repeat customers then I feel sorry for their business in the future it eventually will fail. As for me I don't know if my family will stay there this year or not. We are planning a couple of trips this year (one in the spring and one in the fall) but as far as my business we may go elsewhere. I had rather pay a little more and be treated friendly and with respect than be treated with rudeness and feel like a unwanted guest. Please management update your place and update your employees. If this isn't the way you want it run then send some one in and get the real picture when your presence isn't there.
