Can't wait to return

Stayed one evening. I loved the location and was able to walk around. the room was very nice and cozy, and the fact that I could just hand over my car keys and to a secure parking facility was great!!

Will not return to this hotel

Review for Crowne Plaza Hotel Columbus-Downtown 33 E Nationwide Blvd, Columbus, OH 43215 My name is James and we were at this hotel for a convention the week of August 8-13, 2010. In my opinion, this hotel is very expensive and you would expect that with such expenditures, this facility would allow for free parking, internet service, and basic microwave oven. However, this was far from the truth. They charged for everything including parking ($15.00/day), internet service ($4.00-$6.00/day), and a basic microwave oven ($10.00/nt). If this is the way new customers are treated when they come to this hotel in Columbus Ohio, I will not be visiting anytime soon or in the future. Not to mention, they charged my credit card about $100.00 more than the bill I received when I checked out. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Columbus, Ohio. James Lea Mebane, NC

The best hotel in Columbus

Great location, service, and very clean. WE love the Crowne! They always make our visit so pleasant and that's why we keep coming back. It was our 5th year anniversay this year and when we checked in they gave us a suite upgrade at no extra charge. The Crowne Plaza on Nationwide is by far the best hotel in Columbus.

Everything is great except for the room size

The hotel overall is excellent. The service was outstanding. The only thing lacking was the size of the rooms. I felt cramped. If the rooms could just be larger, it would be a 5 star rating.

Room Service and Bath Tub Issues

Our room was average, nothing to fancy. However, there was something wrong with our TV- the overall color was horrible and the picture was blurry. When I took a shower, the bath tub would not drain so I ended up standing in ankle-deep water. 3 hours later, the water was still in the tub. At approximately 10:00 pm, I received a call verifying that I had ordered room service to be delivered at 10:15 pm. I told the caller that I had NOT ordered room service and neither had my roommate. He said "ok" and hung up. The next morning on the room receipt, a $60 room service charge showed up. I immediately called the front desk and confronted them about it. After much hassle, going down to the desk and proving that it was not my signature on the room service receipt, the charge was removed. I would not stay at this hotel again.

We'll think twice before returning

Just about everything that could have happended happened. First of all, the hotel was under renovation, which wasn't great. The lobby was on the second floor and the fitness room was a converted conference room. The television wasn't working and there was no hot water. After over an hour or conversing with the staff, we ended up having to change rooms which was a huge hassle. The rooms were very nice though, and both different. We purchased a package which included dinner, 2 movie tickets and breakfast. We had a terrible time getting the manager to allow us to substitute room service for the $50 in-hotel dinner. (Why would it matter if we ate down there or in our room?)Oh and we got charged for the valet parking which was also part of our package. Not sure we'll stay here again. We've had great experiences in many other area hotels.

I spent one night at the Crowne Plaza hotel while on a business trip to Columbus. The service was second to none and the cleanliness of the room was one that I rarely see. Truely a diamond in the rough.

Right in Downtown

It right and downtown, for the clubs and sights... It is a great time, and good location to see the city. From cabs to buses, you will be able to go anywhere.
