By Kat, 12/01/09
The bed was filled with bedbugs and the manager was just as bad!! She told me to "take a hot bath with salts!!!!" All the other hotel employees were perfectly lovely.

Perfect stay!

We just had our wedding & reception at the Morehead Inn and spent the weekend there with our family & wedding party. The staff was friendly, detail-obsessed, and professional - and the whole event was seamless. Even without a separate wedding coordinator, we were able to do *nothing* on our wedding day except relax, enjoy the people around us and have a great time. You won't find better food anywhere in the city, and the chef was willing to work with us on some special requests that were delicious and very reasonably priced considering the quality. If we were going to do it all over, we'd definitely go with the Morehead again.

Wonderful overall value in Charlotte!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/18/07
The Morehead Inn is a wonderful combination of a hotel and a Bed and Breakfest. The location is great, just minutes from downtown Charlotte where you can go to shows, restaurants or experience a variety of Charlotte's nightlife if you want. The cost is the same or less than staying in a regular hotel, and the rooms are all different, with lots of special touches to make them cozy. The beds are awsome with feather comforters and loads of feather (and regular) pillows to snuggle into! The only downside is they do seem to host a lot of events (weddings, parties, etc) in the lobby/patio/entry and when these events happen, you hear the music and noise of the party the entire time until it ends, since the rooms you stay in are directly over the event rooms. The breakfast staff is great, and will go out of their way to cook you something special if you need. My husband and I have stayed their 4 times now, and plan on making it our hotel of choice for every trip to Charlotte in the future!
