Crowne Plaza Long Island, Holtsville

really, I looked all over the place....don't bring your swim suit.... ....we stayed for the new year's eve celebration....all was good until we went down the next morning for our full breakfast.....which at best was a substandard continental breakfast....everything was cold....and I was in the mood for bacon!!...none to be found....had fun watching the other people complaining at the front desk about the same thing....you would have thought this was their last meal before an execution, the way they carried on!! ....in summary, if they had a pool...and filled with it scrambled eggs and bacon....I would have been a happy man.....

The rooms are small and the wardrobe closet, with an ironing board inside, left only enough room to hang our two coats. Our room included breakfast. There were no service personnel to seat or serve us on either of the two mornings we arrived in the restaurant for the breakfast buffet. Although there was plenty of bacon and sausage, the scrambled eggs had dried out to resemble small yellow pellets(both mornings). We asked to purchase a newspaper and were told the hotel didn't have daily newspapers for Saturdays and Sundays! All of the help at this hotel seemed to be preoccupied with anything but service.
