Super 8 Waterloo, Waterloo

Typical or above average for the rate and chain... but the pop-up advertising that their internet provider uses will drive you crazy.... wouldn't be bad to get one every so often, but every new page opened will give you a new pop-up that needs to be manually closed... and opt-out options don't seem to work as their are 100's of sites that use this method and each one needs to be individually opted out of....

Needs upgrading. Old TV's, dark rooms, unclean had old urine stain on floor at base of toilet. Stayed 2 days. No maid service on second day. I hung towels and wash clothes on racks to indicate I didn't need them changed, but they didn't even make the bed or empty the trash. Coffee and cups were not replenished. I don't think anyone even came in this room. For awhile, I had the "do not disturb" sign out, but when I left, they were cleaning the room next to me and there was no reason not to dress up my room. Went to get coffee on two occasions, and the urn was empty. It was on, but empty. Later tried to use the vending machine for a snack and it didn't work.

I'm planning a trip, and I refuse to stay at a Super 8 even if it's cheap. Years ago I was going through a rough period of my life and went to escape for a weekend. BAD choice to stay at 8. Non-smoking equals smoking, yellowish lights, dark room....

Stained carpets, dirty walls, smelly stale cigarette smoky room, slept with the window open all night and could not get rid of the stink! Do not go here! Continental breakfast, a JOKE! Weak coffee, cold hot water, nasty frozen pastries!
