Front desk staff were great!
By ,
I haven't actually been to stay at the Hotel, but we had reservations for Sept. and at the last minute our trip had to be cancelled due to my son going to the ER and became very ill. So my vacation to Chicago had to be cancelled! I spoke with a Zack from the hotel and he was very nice and didn't charge us to cancel our reservation. Thanks so much! I can't wait to try again and make it next time.

Wonderful, quiet place to stay
By ,
This is a great place to stay. Our room was immaculate (smelled like fresh laundry) The front desk clerks were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good and the lobby is very relaxing. Fire was going when we came in frozen from shopping - great place to stay and I am picky!!!!

Good for North Side business
By ,
My colleague and I stayed here for business, because our meetings were on the North Side. Definitely beats out the Days Inn or Best Western in the same area of the city. Lots of restaurants, a bookstore, movie theater, etc. The key card gives you access to the Gold's Gym nearby. Not the Four Seasons, but definitely a good find.

They helped make the trip amazing!
By ,
When my boyfriend and I decided to take a weekend trip to Chicago, we started browsing online for hotels that had a good value. We just sort of stumbled across the willows hotel and decided to book it. The staff was very friendly and helpful even before we arrived to check in. We called the hotel from Union Station and they gave us the best directions that they could. When we arrived at the hotel, we were amazed at how charming it was. The stonework on the exterior of the hotel was gorgeous! Equally as amazing was the vintage detailing throughout the hotel(gated elevator, crown moldings). We were first in a room where we couldn't figure out how to turn the heat up higher, so we asked for assistance. Without us having to ask, they immediately upgraded us to a much larger (and warmer) room. The staff was continuously helpful with all of the questions that we had as tourists and helped us in getting around the city. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Chicago, who doesn't mind being not being in the heart of downtown.

Country Mouse
By ,
I usually avoid big cities like the plague, but our trip to Chicago was just fine, due in part to a wonderful experience at The Willows. It was just steps away from restaurants, bookstores, a drugstore and a wonderful place called City Market (grocery/deli), among many other things. I chose this place partially because I'm not into skyscrapers and The Willows had only four floors. (We were on the second.) The staff was extremely personable and helpful. We asked what places they could recommend to have dinner and they led us to Pars Cove, a few blocks away. (The most delightful dinner I've had in a long time.) The room was quite large enough, free internet, reasonable parking in the back (all day, in and out, $17). At first we were intimidated because we needed to walk in an alley to and from our car, but the neighborhood is so busy, we didn't feel afraid, even in the dark. Very clean and it also had a charming entry way. Very few complaints, the only worth mentioning is the elevator. It's cute, but take the stairs if you can...that door is a killer. No doubt I would stay here again. My mom and our other companion felt the same...pleasantly surprised the whole time.

Great Location - Tiny Room
By ,
The Willows Hotel is located very conveniently near the trendy Lincoln Park neighborhood. Charming with lots of nightlife. Sadly, for the price, I would've hoped for a little more. The room is very very small, the shower water was rather lukewarm and the headboard on the bed fell off... Oh, and the continental breakfast was a joke. (bagels, gas station breakfast sandwiches, juice and cereal) That said, the bed itself was huge (king size) and extremely comfortable. Very soft towels and robes and very nice toiletries. I could certainly see coming back when it's warmer and when I can get a much larger room.

would never return
By ,
First of all the photos online do not show the $200.00 dollar a night 8x10 that we were provided. Upon first entering the cold small room we were very dissapointed. We were offered a space heater! We preferred to move to another room inwhich was another 8x10. As for parking there is a public parking behind the hotel down an alley. You would have a better stay at a motel 6.

Quaint and Personable
By ,
The Willows is a great little hotel that is in a good location and provides a very clean and personable environment. I love to go there for weekend get-aways...it is one block away from plenty of attractions, but it's speficic location makes it feel private and secluded. The price isn't bad either.
