5 reviews for Creekside Inn, Cambria
A decent place, would stay again
By Joe C, 05/10/09
We look at these reviews with a bit of skepticism. The things some people complain about seems like they expect 5star treatment everywhere they go. I travel for business and regularly stay in 2,3,4 and 5 star places and so I know what to expect and how to differentiate. We chose this inn among other choices because the cost was right, the location was right, and it seemed a nice place from the online pictures. We arrived late, the innkeepers had arranged to leave a key for us, which was very nice. From the outside, the place looks very quaint and cared for. The room was clean and didn't smell funny. The paint, carpet, linens and bathroom were not brand new but they were not tacky or threadbare, they were clean and thats what matters. The beds were hard, but we like that so that was not an issue. Internet worked with no issue, nice to have it. I stayed with my wife, 2 kids and our small dog (they don't charge for pets which is a real plus) and nobody had any complaints. For a road trip or a few day stay to see surrounding sites, this is a perfectly fine place to stay. If you are someone who expects 5 star treatment no matter where you stay and if you are intolerant of the things that happen in the world, many of which are outside the control of innkeepers, then I say you ought not leave home nor write reviews. We would stay here again, and probably will.

Worth Repeating!
By Chris, 03/25/08
Easy to reserve and coordinate a very late arrival as well as pet needs - owners are very friendly, outgoing and gracious. Accommodations were warm, clean, comfortable and a very good value. Location was terrific - easy access shortly off the highway while still convenient to walk into town in the morning and explore shops, galleries and restaurants. Highly recommend and would definitely stay there again. Thanks!

Reasonably clean hotel, though a bit high for price
By Bing Hui, 04/21/06
Creekside Inn is a simple, clean hotel with all the basic functions: nothing fancy. We paid $89/night plus tax, a bit too much comparing $39/night during the weekdays.

Disappointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/15/05
We just returned from a weekend getaway. The inn is walking distance to great shopping and restaurants. The hotel is older, but fairly well maintained. OUR ROOM SMELLED LIKE DOG PEE, AND THERE WERE 3 PEE-LIKE STAINS ON THE FLOOR! We called the front desk, and a maid sprinkled carpet powder and vacuumed. This only covered the odor for an hour or so. My friends stayed in the room next door, which did not have an odor. Had it not been for that I would have given the hotel a higher rating (but not higher than 3 stars).
