The Victorian Inn, Ferndale

We had a wonderful time at the Victorian Inn. The room was beautiful and truly was a step back in time. There is a wonderful complimentry wine and cheese in the lobby. I do think it would be nice to have a small TV in the rooms though, as most stores close at 5pm. And after a lovely dinner in the dining room, it would be nice to relax in the room with a TV. I realize its not keeping with the feel of the Inn, but it would be nice. I would have brought along a good book, had I known this. The dining experience was very nice, the food excellent. The stay was very enjoyable and I'm so glad we had the experience.

We recently stayed here on a road trip up the California coast. The inn is a beautiful example of Victorian architecture, and its inside matches its outside. Everything feels like a nice update to the victorian era - so you can enjoy modern comforts in "classic" pieces. The inn keepers were very friendly and we enjoyed looking at their handmade precious stone jewelry. Some gorgeous pieces! The location is great - in the heart of town so you can walk around shopping, enjoy dinner and just step back to your room. The room we stayed in was very spacious and comfortable and the bed was just fantastic. I also appreciated the fire place! A fun way to enjoy the Victorian feel the whole town shares.
