STAY AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE HOTEL!
By Sarah, 4/15/12
The WORST hotel experience I have ever had! I stayed at this hotel the night before my MCAT exam since it was close to my test center and I live one hour away from that center. One of the WORST mistakes I have ever made! The hotel was right next to a night club so there was SO MUCH NOISE that I got a migraine that night! What poor construction planning! I called the front desk and they switched me to a new room at midnight. Problem solved? No! At 2 AM, the people in the room across from mine started screaming, partying, and laughing so much that I woke up 5 times that night! I stayed at this hotel so that I could get more sleep the night before my test instead of waking up early to commute to the test center. On the other hand, I got less sleep than if I had just decided to commute!!!! I had a headache the day of my test thanks to this horrible hotel! I still don't know my test score yet, but undoubtedly I could have done better if I had gotten more sleep! Heed my warning: DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!!!!

Check your credit card bill!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/28/11
We only booked a room for 3 nights and the hotel tried to charge us for 4 nights. At first, the staff said they nrver charged us for 4 nights. We presented to hotel with my credit card charge AND had the credit card company call the hotel, the hotel staff insisted that we stayed 4 nights! The staff refused to even double check the record for us to verify what the computer records said. So we asked the staff to count with us the number of nights we stayed and it came out to be 3 night. It turned out they tried to charge us for the day we checked out. I have been to Disneyland for Christmas every year for 14 years with my family but our favorite hotel was completely booked. This is the first time and the last time we stayed at Fairfield by Mariott.

Awful service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/28/11
Everying was okay until the 3rd day of our stay. We asked the front desk to extend our stay for another night and the gentleman at the desk said that's fine and he will arrange it for us. The rest of our party went down to San Diego for Sea World the next day, but I had to stay behind to take care of my younger kid sister, who had a fever. Around 2:30pm, hotel security asked me to go down to the front desk because the staff wanted to speak to me. When I went downstairs, the supervisor (Stacey) told me that we had to vacate our rooms because the rooms are all booked. When I explained that we had extended our stay with the front desk last night, the supervisor became defensive and told me that the gentleman left a note with the front desk that he was not authorized to extend their stay. I said that that was not what he told us yesterday and we can't leave today because the rest of our party are in San Diego and they took our car, plus I am taking care of a sick child. The supervisor became rude and said that, and I quote, "that doesn't matter, your stay never got extended. The staff even left a note that he could not extend your stay. You have to vacate. Now." She said that she knows we don't have a reservation for the day because we didnt make the reservation ahead of time. I told her again, even naming the gentleman who was suppose to extend our stay for us, that we requested and was given the okay to stay another night. Otherwise why would we allow the rest of our party to go to San Diego and take our car? We are only staying here because we have a sick child. If anyone told us that the hotel is booked we could have found another hotel to stay in for the day before the rest of our party took off. She just repeated, "you have to vacate now." When we contacted to hotel manager, the manager confirmed that the gentleman never left a note with the front desk at all. I have never had such awful service anywhere. Not only did the supervisor lie to my face about one of the staff leaving some kind of note, she was rude and never tried to help at all. If the hotel overbooked, they should have explained that to us and arranged a list of other hotels where we could book a room for the night. Instead, they accused us of lying about having a room extension and threatened us with hotel security. I mean why would anyone want to lie about that?! There are many hotels nearby, we could have booked at one of the other ones if an extension wasn't possible.

The Only Hotel We Stay At
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/29/11
We've been to Disneyland four times and each time we end up choosing to stay at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott. First, the price is one of the lowest among the hotels near Disneyland. Second, it's so close to the Disneyland/California Adventure entrances. Third, McDonalds and a couple of restaurants are right on the corner to the hotel parking lot entrance. McDonalds can be a life saver sometimes if you have kids and are on a budget vacation. It's open late too. The hotel has a pizza place and mini store. Fourth, the rooms are clean and beds are so comfortable. They give you extra pillows that are big and soft. Fifth, the employees have always been helpful and friendly. Sixth, the room has a small refrigerator. Nice for cold drinks, sandwiches, etc. Seventh, there are three elevators so we had no problem getting to and from our room (9 stories tall). There are a couple of disappointing things to mention. They started charging for parking last year; it used to be free. The pool is nice but a little small for the size of the hotel. Great place to stay overall!

Best Disneyland area hotel by far!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/27/11
The Service, the cleanliness, the staff, the location, the convenience... I could just go on on and on. Took the kids with us to the park for our 25th anniversary had a blast... dragged ourselves in late every night, was always someone there to help with whatever we needed. The little store is great (I suggest buying drinks there and bring them into the park... save about $2.00 a drink) They had everything. The staff was so warm and wonderful. Our favorite was Michelle (front Desk). The pool was great and heated. Left the park early every day swam and relaxed in the spa and was ready to go all night. The balcony views of the park were so magical. Anything you needed they had. They even had printed driving instructions to other parks and malls etc. The lobby has ads for delivery food too.... Will definitely stay there from now on every park trip. Don't miss eating breakfast at I hop down the street towards the park. Lalo, a balloon artist in residence makes magical and unique characters etc. We tipped him well and he made us a Rapunzel and a Thor! We also ate at Tony Roma's 2 more doors down. Our waitress Consuello was a dream. Plenty of food and so much cheaper than park fast food. A Fantasmic trip and the Fairfield staff made it so much better! The best hotel in the Disneyland area!! We know we can count on you!!!!

Not fancy, but it's not the Ritz.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/28/10
This is a older hotel that has been upgraded with modern decor. The rooms are not suites and the bathrooms are small, but if you are looking for a clean, well managed hotel with a very short walk to Disneyland this is a great choice. Hotel staff is professional, rooms are clean and there is a on site Pizza Hut if you're hungry. We have stayed here several times and if works great being close to the main gate when you have young children and you need to take a break or have a nap.

Not an appealing Marriott
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/4/10
Dissapointed in the quality of this Marriott. The pool was too small to enjoy. It's only good if you want a place to sleep, not to spend the day in....

It was a great time we can't wait to come back.
By Tishaya, 9/5/09
I was there with my son and daugher. The hotel was great!!! We got a very nice view of the pool in front. The pool looks gorgeus at night. So if you want that kind of view, then ask for room 252 it's on the secoond floor so if your afraid of hieghts ask for that room. The rooms where very clean. It has a mini fridge and a coffee maker. A small tv with of corse Disney channel, two queen sized beds, and a pull out bed.( perfect for a ten year old.) The staff is very nice you can ask them any question and they'll answer it. Disneyland is right down the street it's only like a one minute walk. So if your planning to go Disneyland. Then this is the hotel for you. There are planty of resturaeants near by that are in walking distance. So if your worried about breakfast then don't there's a McDonalds right next door. The hotel and it practicly share the same parking lot. The stay was great and we can't wait to go back.

By Anaaa!, 7/21/09
The experience was wonderfull. The hotel rooms were clean and very comfortable. The money was worth it. It was a short walk from Ihop, Pirate Breakfeast (I do not remember the name), And Disneyland. I would Recommend it to others.
