Alexander Beach Hotel, Alexandroupoli

I travel more than 200,000km per year around the world and I have seen some pretty bad hotels in my travels. This hotel tops my list as the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in any country in the world. I stayed at the hotel late September 2006. Rooms smell, BROWN water from rusted pipes runs when you turn the shower, NO phones, NO internet, NOT even a clock in the room. Wall paint is peeling off, even one of the digits showing the room number was missing on the door. Hotel Staff describes this as their standard room.
