Comfort Inn Independence, Independence

Thank you for your part in providing a warm comfortable home away from home during our week of treatment at the Cleveland Clinic. Eliminating stress during our stay is very important to us. Your convenient (safe) location and your special Cleveland Clinic rates are the primary reasons I first stayed with you. My continued use of your facility include an appreciation of your friendly helpful staff, the comfortable accommodations and the accessibility to many excellent restaurants. i stay at this hotel every time i go to the Cleveland area. the staff is very friendly & courteous, they remember me each time, its nice to go to a place in the big city & be remembered. great value for the location. I-77 Exit 155 Rockside Road/Independence/Valley View/Seven Hills. 10 miles south of Downtown Cleveland, about 20-25 minute drive to the Cleveland Clinic (with rush hour traffic). good restaurants nearby. i plan to stay there every time! i recommend it to everybody looking for a good valued hotel in the Independence Ohio area. (better rates compared to Embassy, DoubleTree, Hampton etc).

We made our reservations for two rooms over a month before our stay on 07/03/2007. I called the hotel directly and got an excellent rate. I had a couple of requests for rooms with two beds for 2 adults, and 2 children in each room, because we were traveling with friends. Also for those rooms to be adjoining, for the ease of the young children. When we arrived, neither of our requests were met. We were told they don't have adjoining rooms, however one of the rooms we did get placed in was adjoining to the adjacent room. Which was NOT occupied by the other couple. Also we were told we only had confirmation for 2 adults total. Why would we need two double beds in both rooms for only 2 adults? The woman at the desk (Norma) was unable to tell us simple things about the hotel, she didn't know what type of rooms the hotel had or where the rooms were located. My wife and friend had to go around the hotel to confirm location of rooms to attempt to get two rooms close to each other. The woman at the desk was unable to tell us if any specific room was occupied or vacant, or if they had adjoining doors. We settled for two rooms at the end of a hall directly across from each other. The bright spot of the employees was the maintenance man, who was very helpful and polite.

We stay here quite often and always enjoy the cleanliness and attention.
