Rude Staff
By ,
I am extremely disappointed with the staff, specifically regarding the front desk. I have never been spoken to in the demeaning rude manor by hotel staff when attempting to ask for information. Disgusted by the interaction and will never return to this establishment.

Very Shady Staff
By ,
As we were about 2 hours into our trip back home, my 8 year old remember she left her ipod touch laying on the bed. I immediately called the hotel and was told that someone would look into it and call me back. About 2 hours later, I got a call back and she stated that security could not open up the safe and only the head of security was able to do so and that they would not be in until the following day. She reapetedly told me she would call me back first thing the next day and let me know if the ipod touch had been placed in the safe for safe keeping. Well, no phone call was ever recieved so I called again. I was put through to security where I left a message about my missing item and was told my this message that after 72 hours if there was no call that they did not find my missing item. About 2 days later, I called back being I knew right where the ipod touch was left. And once again, I will call you back with no return phone calls. Called a few more times requesting a supervisor/manager and was once even told that they must be running late because he was not in yet. Even left my name and number for someone to call me back. No return calls once again. I called again and asked for a manager/supervisor and spoke with Cathy. She stated that the staff is very honest and she just doesn't know where the ipod touch could be. She reassured me she would talk with security and that either she or someone from security would be calling me back that day by 5pm. Well, what do you know, never a return call (by now I had been dealing with this for over a week). After the 4th of July holiday, I called her back and she acted surpirsed that I never got a call back!? Just said, no, nothing was found. I find that rather odd. Never once did anyone say, well we checked with the housekeeper and she found nothing. NEVER! All I wanted was my daughers Christmas gift back. I know, shame on her for forgetting it but we did everything we could as soon as she remembered she had left it behind. For what you pay to stay here, you would think they would have honest people working there. I would NEVER recommend anyone to stay here and we will NEVER be back to your hotel.

Avoid this dump

The saying of "you get what you pay for" does not apply here. Its quite the opposite. You think you're getting a good deal until you walk into the old rooms. There are much better hotels in Ocean City that are not as antique as this place.

Absolutely awesome
By ,
Really nice hotel. Rooms are recently updated, very clean. Beds were incredibly comfortable. Staff was courteous. Actually had room service delivered for dinner one night...and food was incredibly hot and good...(chicken marsala)...better than eating out at some of the beach restaurants! Will definitely be back

We Can't Wait to Go back
By ,
This is a really nice hotel to stay at. (I really like it) My wife and I had to reschedule our stay which would have been Valentine's weekend do to illiness. The hotel staff went out of their way to reschedule our stay and that was a major plus in my book. So we went in March 2009 and really enjoyed ourselves. A lot of restaurants were closed simply because it was off season, but the food at Schooners, which is inside the hotel was very tasty and our seat by the window overlooking the ocean was fantastic. Your room also comes equip with a kitchen, (no stove in the smaller rooms but the stove top worked fine for us). Remember to bring an extra frying pan with you. (LOL). OMG the bed was sooooooo comfortable and the room itself overall was very clean. You can tell that they have remodel the hotel. It's worth the money you spend. My wife and I loved it so much that we're going back next week May 2009 for our 20th Wedding Anniversary. I can't wait! : )

Would stay here again...
By ,
Our overall vacation was great. The bedroom was very spacious but the living room, doubling as the sleeping area was on the small side. My kids loved the game area and the pool although the snack bar by the pool was closed on weekdays. Also the tiles around the pool was extremely slippery, we had a small wipe-out. The beach was located right outside of the hotel. The hotel décor was quite dated -maybe 80’s- although nice. The elevators had a dated feel as well and the garage elevator was painfully slow. For Ocean City the hotel was pretty nice, but the competition sets the bar low. I hope on returning to Ocean City again this season. I would not hesitate to stay here, assuming I don’t discover a better venue.

Loved it
By ,
I loved the beds. I now want one for my own house. The pool was great. With kids, I always worry about the weather being bad. With the pool, I didn't worry at all. The rooms were extremely clean and well kept. The staff was friendly and helpful. I loved being so close to the beach but away from the noise of the boardwalk.

A surprise experience!
By ,
My family including a baby recently had a 3 night stay at the Princess Royale Resort in Ocean City, Maryland. With an attentive and well mannered staff this large resort offers a magnificant pool area, great ocean views, nice clean rooms and a kitchenette making it easy to prepare a meal for a baby. If you do not stay here as a guest you do need to take a tour of this spendid resort and have a meal or a drink in one of the eateries. It is located on or around 90th street in a nice quiet peaceful area. This is remarkable hotel quite suitable for a family getaway. Enjoy.

WOW! From start to finish!
By ,
We got into OC a bit early, 12 pm and thought we would ask at the Princess Royale about parking. Our room was not ready, but we were offered parking AND use of all their ammenities! From that moment we were treated like family. We had a wonderful suite overlooking the pool. And it was fabulous because when the sliders were closed you couldn't hear a thing! The rooms were very nice with a flat screen tv and a king sized tempur-pedic mattress! The staff was fabulous and accommodating! We even got a call our 1st night from the manager to make sure all was well! You gotta see thsi place!

Love the Princess Royale
By ,
We had a very enjoyable two night stay at the Princess Royale. from the start, I enjoyed the garage parking although the garage elevator was a little slow, but it is so nice to park in the shade when the weather is 90 degrees and over! Checking in was simple. The rooms are very comfortable AND clean, We had a room overlooking the pool and you could see the ocen through the very large floor to ceiling windows. The deck overlooking the pool was nice and relaxing to enjoy your morning coffee and to read the paper. The beds were very comfortable. I worked out in the gym and give it a fair rating for the weights but the room was cooled down, towels were supplied and I only work out for an hour a day so it was sufficient. The food at the restaurat was great, especially the breakfast buffet. The pool was perfect to cool off in after a day on the beach, It is an indoor pool, so if it did rainm we had a safe place to have fun in without worrying about lightening. My 5 year old son especially enjoyed the pool. Getting to the beach was very convenient. All in all, I give it 4 out of 5 stars and I would most definately stay again.
