Residence Inn by Marriott Miami Airport West Doral Area, Miami

This is hands down the best deal you can get on a hotel room in Miami. We had a 2 story suite with a full kitchen, high speed internet access, 2 kingsize beds, a living room and 2 bathrooms. There was a full breakfast served: eggs, sausage, cereal, oatmeal, pancakes, waffles, fruit, yogurt, juices, bagels-toast-english muffins which was a great way to start the day. The hotel is located very near to the Dolphin Expressway/SR 836 which takes you directly to downton Miami, the beaches and Coral Gables. Although the hotel was near the airport and very close to a runway landing area, the noise was not bad at all, and inside was hardly noticeable. I was never disturbed or woken from planes landing during the evening, and considering the quality of experience I had I would highly reccommend the Residence Inn suites and gladly return next time I have to stay in Miami.

My kids don't want to go anywhere else but to this Residence Inn. We have spent all of their birthdays here for the past 10 years. Our daughter recently graduated from college and chose Residence Inn as the place for her reception. The staff is great, on each and every one of our stays. They go out of their way to make us feel at home. We stayed with them for a month after Hurricane Katrina last year and it was a sad day when we had to say good-bye. They are our family.... thank you Sam, Stephanie, Sandra, Margarita, Martha, Bibi and the many others whom I don't have enough space to name individually. We'll see you in September and hope to be one of the first to stay in a newly renovated room:)

I absolutely fell in love with the place. The penthouses are a great size, the kitchens are better than my kitchen at home and the service is great. Considering that there is more than one huge building, it really feels more like home. The fireplace in the living room is a great touch and the pool is very well heated. The breakfast is amazing, but the staff is really the prize possession.

Room had a musty smell and we had booked an non-smoking room, but received a smoking room. There was a leak coming from a locked closet and the carpet was soaked. The decor was outdated. We only wanted a hotel close to the airport for just a night and booked it on the phone from the airport. The Marriot lady on the phone said this one was the closest, but there is one closer. We had to pay $45 for a cab to and from the airport. It's also in a yucky part of town.

I travel a lot during the years and I only stay at Marriott Hotels. I like the new look from the Reception. I also enjoy the new staff at the front desk and the professionalism of the new front desk manager. I just hope that the rooms could get renovated soon then every else is good...
