Residence Inn Miami Airport WestDoral Area, Miami

We were at our last day of a 3 weeks vacation in Fort Lauderdale, Oasis of the Seas, Orlando and Miami. I had already checked in for my flight back home and was on my way to the gate. When I realized that I left my watch and some other items in my room. I panicked for second but soon realized that I didn't need to. After all that's why I always stay at one of the Marriotts chain. When I called the Hotel they were very helpful and sent someone immediately to check while I waited on the phone, within a couple of minutes they came back on the phone and told me that my items were found. Back home I totally forgot to follow and did that more than a week later. The frontdesk clerk was very helpfull and polite and told me about ways she can arange for my bellongings to be shipped to me and even suggested me to insure the shipment. She on her turn told me that the Manager had put my belongings in a safe. I've lost my share of things during all my travels but this will never be forgotten. It only show that we still have HONEST persons in this world. I sinecerly thank every single one whom was part of my this recovery. WGM Curaçao

This is hands down the best deal you can get on a hotel room in Miami. We had a 2 story suite with a full kitchen, high speed internet access, 2 kingsize beds, a living room and 2 bathrooms. There was a full breakfast served: eggs, sausage, cereal, oatmeal, pancakes, waffles, fruit, yogurt, juices, bagels-toast-english muffins which was a great way to start the day. The hotel is located very near to the Dolphin Expressway/SR 836 which takes you directly to downton Miami, the beaches and Coral Gables. Although the hotel was near the airport and very close to a runway landing area, the noise was not bad at all, and inside was hardly noticeable. I was never disturbed or woken from planes landing during the evening, and considering the quality of experience I had I would highly reccommend the Residence Inn suites and gladly return next time I have to stay in Miami.

I absolutely fell in love with the place. The penthouses are a great size, the kitchens are better than my kitchen at home and the service is great. Considering that there is more than one huge building, it really feels more like home. The fireplace in the living room is a great touch and the pool is very well heated. The breakfast is amazing, but the staff is really the prize possession.

Room had a musty smell and we had booked an non-smoking room, but received a smoking room. There was a leak coming from a locked closet and the carpet was soaked. The decor was outdated. We only wanted a hotel close to the airport for just a night and booked it on the phone from the airport. The Marriot lady on the phone said this one was the closest, but there is one closer. We had to pay $45 for a cab to and from the airport. It's also in a yucky part of town.

I travel a lot during the years and I only stay at Marriott Hotels. I like the new look from the Reception. I also enjoy the new staff at the front desk and the professionalism of the new front desk manager. I just hope that the rooms could get renovated soon then every else is good...
