Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Muncie, Muncie

We booked a non-smoking, king bed for a week. They told us that all the rooms were non-smoking and so that wouldn't be a problem however, it must have very recently because our room smelled of tabacco. The rooms were not vacuumed during our stay and the tub was very dirty. My husband - who must prove all things - took some bath soap and cleaned an area of the tub so that we knew that it was not due to wear. After two days we cancelled our stay and went across the road to the Hampton Inn. It was $20.00 more a night but well worth the extra cash. The Fairfield is not that old and should not have shown lack of care.

We went during a busy weekend when all the other hotels were booked. This place turned out to be great. The rooms were clean and updated. The beds were SO comfortable with plenty of pillows. It is located right by restaurants and a few blocks from Ball State. The staff was friendly and it was priced right. Didnt get a chance to use the pool, but it seemed nice. I would definetly stay there again. A good choice for a good hotel.

We have visited Ball State University many times in the time our daughter has been a student there, and use this hotel when available. It is clean, and well maintained, and was just remodeled. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rates are very comparable to other lesser hotels in the area. Jim and Pat Brinkoetter
