BEST WESTERN Ocean View Resort, Seaside

The beds here are the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. I have a bad back and everytime I stay here I wake up feeling good. Not to mention the amazing views and extremely friendly staff. I am a repeat guest with this Best Western and I've never had a complaint. I recommend it to all my friends travelling to the area.

I wanted a hot tub in my room. Boy was I suprised to find the hot tub on the outside wall with a huge picture window to view the ocean while I soaked. The staff actually called to ask how my room was. I told them I wanted to live there. This was the best room design I've been to, The staff was great. The beds were medium soft. You can choose to bring your own D.V.D's. or just watch T.V. and relax. I chose to watch the ocean. Bravo is my rating. I will be coming back.

My wife and I have been staying here each fall for the last 10 years; we have never had a problemof any sort. The rooms have always been clean and well stocked, the staff has been friendly, courtious, and very helpful. I would highly recommend this establishment.

We reserved a room for 4 women. First discovery: no soap in the bathroom except in a shower dispenser (Climb in & get it to wash your hands!). Second: Murphy bed with a wobbly leg had two sheets, one pillow. No blankets, but "sleeps 2!" Third: Utensils for 4? Two table knives -- nothing else! No spoons or forks at all. Fourth: 80 degrees outside, fireplace on and could only be turned off by management. Their excuse for everything was that our room was adjoining another room & everything must have been taken to the other room by the previous guests, and the staff only checks once a week to see if anything is stocked! I will admit the room was clean. Seems like that was the only thing the maid did. And their attitude was that it was our fault! I will never stay there again & probably never in any Best Western since it had such incompetent management. And by the way it was $100 more a night to stay there than at a well stocked comfortable place in Lincoln City!

The staff was rude, was late checking us in. There were flies everywhere, and they put us in a room next to a barking dog. There was poop all over the toilet seat and on the bathroom light switch, pubic hairs on the counter. Coffee spilled all over the wall, the sheets had brown stains....use your imagination. The "window" looked out into the hallway of the hotel, that's right the hallway. Dust everywhere and all over the headboard. Cable was fuzzy, couldn't even watch tv, towels were dirty. It was so awful, it made us sick to our stomachs. Instead of giving us a refund, they gave us 500 gold points, but you need thousands to get a free night, wow thanks for nothing. The worst hotel I've ever stayed at, it ruined our vacation.

It was very relaxing, listening to the waves and seeing the ocean. Room was great , service was very good, friendly people and wonderful for a weekend retreat. Within walking distance of very good restaurants and shopping. A/C might have been nice but nights are very cool and with fan it helped tremendously.

While I loved that this hotel was pet friendly, they charge alot for the pet rooms, and they are not very clean. I thought that only the pet rooms were dingy, but I heard from a friend I sent there, their other rooms are not any better.

This hotel was not worth the $230 per night we paid. The facilities were filthy, the staff were rude with the exception of the night maintenance man. I will not stay at this hotel again. I requested a 2 queen bed room, fully expecting 2 beds and found the second bed was a murphy bed we were expectged to set up ourselves. Bedding was not laundered, toilets and bathtub were filthy. thick dust on the night stands and lamps. Sorry to be so negative but I can say the view was great, but not worth the facilities you had to put up with.

This hotel was good in all aspects. A nice place to enjoy. Good service was given by the hotel staff, would like to visit this place again along with my family and friends

On a recent weeklong vacation to Oregon & Washington, we had the displeasure of staying at this hotel. We paid about $175 - the most expensive on our vacation - for the worst room we have ever stayed in anywhere, anytime! When we arrived, there was absolutely no place to park in the parking lot so we parked near the front door to check in. We were not greeted when we walked up to the front desk and when we commented on the lack of parking, instead of an apology, we got an excuse, "There are more than enough spaces for our guests, but sometimes people bring two cars and we don't have any control over that." We finally found a space adjacent to the main parking lot - which may or may not have been on the hotel propery. All the views in pictures of the hotel look nice, but we had a terrible room on the side with a partial beach view. The room smelled oily - like an elevator shaft - but we weren't near the elevator. The high-speed Internet crawled like a snail (we didn't have this problem at any other hotel we stayed at). The bed was so soft, you sunk into it at an unnatural angle and we woke up with sore backs and necks. The bathroom door collided with the toilet and blocked the shower and the hair dryer in the bathroom did not work. There were other problems too which I have blocked out of my brain. We were again treated rudely at checkout. As when we checked in, the clerk did not say a word to us until we told her we wanted to check out. Plus the computers were down and we were told we would be mailed our invoice/receipt. It's been two months and we still haven't got it. I complained three times to Best Western's home office asking for our money back. When I said I would write a bad review of this hotel on the Internet, they coughed up a $100 gift card. Still ticked off about the whole experience, I am writing it anyway!!! Don't stay at this hotel. The whole staff should be fired and it should be closed down. It certainly wasn't worth $175. Stay at a Motel 6, you'll have a better time!!!
